I feel so empty and broken…

So three weeks ago my 17 year old Border Collie/Lab/Spaniel Mix passed away.

I feel like a empty shell now, I hate being alive now!! There is no point to living! There is NO JOY in anything anymore!!

I want to go to Doggie Heaven with Her and be happy and not have to worry about anything anymore!!

I know She would want me to stay on Earth and give a Dog in need a loving home…but it’s so hard to stay alive! I hate it!!!

I went to work today and it was so awful!! I felt like am corpse walking around the store.

It’s getting to the point where everything is getting worse and I can’t take it anymore!!!!!

I'm sorry you're going through this. My feline friend Tashi wanted to say she cares about you and hopes you feel better soon: "Meowwwwww!!!"

Seriously though, I wish Tashi could be with you so you could cuddle together. I know she'd hate that you're in pain.

I hate that you're in pain and I very much hope you'll feel better soon. Please know that there's someone grieving for you and your friend.

If you need anything just ask.

I am feeling a little better after eating a bit after work.
 
I'm deeply sorry for your loss, my wife and I are pet people who have loved and lost important members of our four-legged family. Do you think you will get another pet?

Sorry that's always tough but at least he had a long and fulfilling life. My dog passed away at 13 and the one my family bought after that might not make it that far. I'm sure the dog was very well cared for and hopefully had a peaceful passing

I'm glad you had the experience in your life to have this loving relationship with your dog.

Unfortunately everything has to die and right now you are grieving, another part of this life.

You will keep the memories you made with your dog and she will always be in your heart and you will always have moments of sadness and happiness when you think about her forever.
But you will recover and heal too.

The amount of suffering we all have to go through in the life sucks.

Hang in there and let it out. You'll be fine soon enough.

I am doing a lot better now, even tho I still miss My Little Sweetheart!
 
I'm so sorry. You know, I'd love a dog, but I don't trust my mental health enough to cope with the inevitable loss. Not trying to pile a useless platitude on you, but you were brave enough to love and bond, and doggie lifespan is probably the cruellest fact in an apparently infinitely cruel universe. Dogs are pure love and you gave each other 17 great years. She wouldn't want you to grieve forever. If you can stomach it yet, a rescue pup might well be a lifeline.
