Hey, welcome to Bluelight.
"What happened to me?" is a notoriously difficult question to answer. Without testing, it's impossible to say what was actually in your pill, even if they were from the same batch. "Blue Paul Frank Monkeys" are very likely to be totally different in NY than they are in LA, and this is just in a single country alone. Even pills from the same batch can vary significantly -- the presser could have been running out of MDMA near the end, for instance, or any other number of imaginable scenarios. From what you said ("no effects"), I imagine that the pill simply didn't contain much if any MDMA.
Assuming they were the same, your reaction can depend on many factors. Your set and setting play a role: if you're in a poor or unexciting environment or if you have a lot on your mind, it can negatively impact the roll. Also, physical issues like tolerance can be a factor; if you've been rolling frequently it can diminish your experience. People here recommend a month at the minimum between uses to keep the experience fresh and to reduce the accumulation of tolerance + other negative side effects (depression, chronic fatigue, etc.)
My personal advice: take a little break (a month or so) and come back to rolling later. When you decide to buy and drop pills again, get a testing kit beforehand. This is the best option, and cheap for how many problems you'll avoid...you can order one from DanceSafe.org or EZtest.com among other places. If not that, at least check out the pill on PillReports.com (which unfortunately wouldn't help you that much in this case, since you say both the good and bad pill likely came from the same batch).
