I don't really like this girl but we're dating...

The longer you wait to break it off, the harder it will be on her.

Be the better and cut her loose in person. A phone call may suffice, but I could see that devolving quickly.

Sending someone a text is incredibly insensitive and rude in my opinion.

It really depends what sort of relationship it is. Do you ever talk on the phone? Because if you don't it might be legit to make it a text. Still though, it's just much more respectful to call, that way you know she got the message. And personally, I've had my girlfriend's younger brother prank text me break up messages, you don't want her to assume it's a joke as well.
 
It is always rude to me. I might be showing my age though.

When I was in highschool, pagers were cool.

It doesnt sound like you would even hang out or befriend her if she wasnt hot/ didnt blow you every time you see her.

Also, the longer you stick around, the worse you will hurt her when it is finally time to break up. I highly doubt any sane and mature person would drive 120 miles to kick your ass over a 2 week relationship.

Just tell her that you dont feel like you are compatible after getting to know her, but you wish her the best. (Dont ever use the lets be friends line, it is a lie and cowardly)

You will never fuck yourself over by being blunt, honest, and forthright, and people will respect you much more, even if they dont like you
 
You should also disregard the advice to lie to her. If you need to tell her anything but "I NO LONGER WANT TO SEE YOU", then you should at least tell her the truth. Dont try to make her feel bad or anything, but do tell her what it is you dont like (if she asks) because chances are most guys wont like these things either.

Your logic is silly broski, the longer you wait the more likely it will end violently, you must act swiftly on this, although a chick that blows all the time isnt that bad of a chick in my book but, you think she is lame that is the problem. I know I may sound like a cosmo but, tell her the truth, tell her "I love the head but, we are just not a good fit" . If that doesnt work, become super boring and drive her to blow other poor souls. good luck!
 
One of her friends from high school killed herself a few days ago and the funeral was today. She talked about crying her eyes out. Seems like everyday she says something about how bad she feels or how much she misses me. I've been very distant over text for at least 5-6 days now. 'Cept today she said she's going to surprise me next time she sees me. I want to break up with her but in the wake of her friends suicide, I don't think it'd be good to do it just yet.

Ugh...she doesn't seem to get the picture very well. I really need to grow a pair and dump her. I thought being more distant would cause her to drift apart. I'll feel bad if I dump her right after her friends suicide.
 
^ you're going to find an excuse to not do this every time. you might feel bad now but not nearly as bad as you're both going to feel if you let this drag on and on an on...

You won't be doing her any favors by staying with her, even through her friend's suicide. The sooner you end it the better. I know it must be hard but you really have to listen to your gut and do what's right for you.
 
I can understand your hesitation Logic, in that situation. While you may indeed just be trying to find an excuse for yourself, you may also be a sensitive guy wishing to avoid harming her. If this is the case, then pass a deal with yourself: give her one more week of support, and then, whatever happens, leave her. Give you one joker (only) if you feel you need it. I had to do this once, and it was useful for me, and for her.

given the history youve portrayed throughout this thread, while its highly obvious that the woman youre seeing is hoping for a greater commitment than you in having a relationship together (regardless of conventionality); my biggest query is why are you sticking around? and feel justified in thinking youre doing her a favor in privately despising her for seeking that from you when you freely and happily admit (to yourself and strangers) that you dont share those feelings, to then ridicule and neglect her personal needs in private for having such notions?

sure everyone wants to be loved; but retrospectively noone wants to be "loved" by another, simply going through the paces of performing what ones partner thinks is expected of them rather than their heart being in it with conviction and true intention.

lol... what the fuck? dude.. just dump her. This is your relationship, not her relatives' or whatever. You're just making yourself suffer. And why the fuck would she ask in front of her friends? That's some rude ass guilt-tripping. Physical attraction is nice as an initial thing, but if you're not a fan of her personality, then it's pretty fucked from the start.
 
Although it would be wrong you could play head games with her. Find out all the stuff she really dislikes and do them all. Irritate her to no end. Simply be the opposite of her dream guy and hopefully she'd break up with you.

Fuck yeah. You don't owe her anything so, IMO, the easier it is on you the better since this has been nothing but a pain...she's more likely to manipulate you if you talk to her on the phone by crying, pouting, threatening self-harm, or demanding instant emotional support from suddenly being rejected. That is nothing but a trap. Also the concept of wasting your time "being a man" by feeling obligated to go driving to see her, or calling her and wasting hours of your life, is a trap as well. Communication is communication. The less physical you keep it the better since your dick clearly wants no part of this break up, your ears are attached to your dick. Let your thumbs save you the hassle started by your ears and various balls. I think the time spent "dating" is important to keep in mind, two weeks ago she didn't know you exist, and in two weeks time she'll probably hate you, and two weeks from then she'll probably forget you as she clings to a new piece of cheese.

Sorry for my english, I meant that I also once delayed a breakup for a short time, for the girl own sake. It did me good (I supported her in a difficult moment and felt better myself), it did her good. So as long as you promise to yourself to delay JUST THIS TIME FOR HER SAKE, and not to fuel your own hesitation, then why not? But be careful of falling into the trap of constantly delaying for one reason or another. This would just brings misery to both of you.
