Behind Conroy, with a Chainsaw...
I found this out, that I don't know me anymore
Who I was and who I will be
Are now a mystery
For every night I die
Each morning born anew
As the clock's hours race the sun
And time itself speeds up
Skipping like a stone on still water
Leaping once, twice and again
Each glimpse a future instant captured
Heartbeats in one existence
Till there are no more secrets
And the tears run down my face
Losing memory in salt rain
Oblivion shall taste no sweeter
Than the pangs of the past
Yet magnetised my eyes are drawn
To the frozen seconds of my life and death
Splayed before me
While the years flick by in whispers
Stealing pieces of my heart

you know you are one of my favorite writters and this speaks to me in so many different ways.

your words capture so much,, thank you :)

the last two lines speak volumes.
the entire piece is poignant and expressive, I can definitely identify with it.

From what I've read, the meter in your pieces is always so well measured.

I like that :)

there's a real beauty and wisdom in this piece that i feel comes from your self- reflective questioning and the fact that everything flows so unbelievably well. great work plazma.

Plazma I have always been in awe of your writing, and this piece is no exception. This has a polished feel to it, like it really couldn't get more perfect than this!

Oblivion shall taste no sweeter
Than the pangs of the past

Guys, thanks for reading and commenting (so nicely) on this poem, perfect example of why I love words, cause it means I can get a bit broader opinion than what I'd ordinarily get on something I've written.

Cheers. :)

Your writing has really come such a long way in the time I've known you - and that's from a pretty decent beginning level anyway!!

This one is so polished, it speaks volumes of your talent.

:)

We first started talking because of the things we wrote in here and seeing your words again remind me of why I thought you were a passionate and interesting person.

There is really original and complex imagery in this piece. Nice work.

Plaz, it's been a while since i've posted anything on BL, but i really felt that i had to say how much i identified withthis, as i do with much of your writing.

Thanks. :)

good stuff. I find that knowing yourself comes and goes...almost like we orbit this thing called "Knowing ones self" and at times we are closer to knowing than others. I think many people mistake stability and normalcy for knowing your self. I know i did...it's almost like tangible things anchor us to a belife. I dont know...im just rambling.

Anywho nice writting!
