I dont get benzos as a recreational drug

Yes they are brilliant for coming down from any typical stimulant and mdma. Also some people get major anxiety from weed, i get minor anxiety from weed. But add a benzo and weed and i can smoke unlimited without getting that annoying anxiogenic body high. They do have their place

i think all the hype behind benzos is only relevant when you mix it with other CNS depressants....i know some fools on methadone who are xanax fiends now because thats the only way for them to get high i guess....terrible idea!

I like them usually because it helps my anxiety (don't take them every day though) but i also like mixing them and using them for come downs.

benzos by themselves are a boring.....def. need to be mixed or need to be in w/d from something to really "feel" it

i think 20 mg valium is like 1 or 2mg of xanax....valium is weak.......and to me i think the whole benzo hype only works when mixing with other CNS depressants

Right. Combine 10mg of Valium (or any CNS depressant) with a moderate dose of Lyrica. The synergistic combination turns those 10mg into the effect of at least 40.

This is the recipe I need to use now when I take benzos because of my heavy cross tolerance of them with alcohol.

Different strokes different folks i used clonazepam for quite sometime and i liked it. Too much i have since quit after realizing it was slowly turning me to an antisocial turd plus that it wasnt doing much for my already faulty memory granted its good for potentiation not for solo use though.

Its not really recreational. The people that love it are those like me who suffer "real" anxiety. We are the ones who become dependent because that relief of anxiety is so incredible that it gives us a sense of well-being or euphoria. Doses increase because of tolerance.

this is what i would say ,i now look to see if K'd has posted an answer to these questions as we were in the same boat cept he kicked and im still riding but he ussualy puts into words what i want to say in a matter of fact kinda way, where as i take longer to explaine what its all about ,,you have to realy have sufferd from chronic anxiety attacks and such to understand what he meens because you realy have to live it to understand it ..it is so true that just fending off the attacks and feeling calm again is such a great feeling, that no one will understand unless ya been there...calmness is the euphoria and its a great feeling....

There are no benzo "lovers." There are only benzo addicts. You don't get high from it; people just get dependent on the feeling it gives them. Not really dangerous or expensive--so why quit anyway?

Having had little but at least some experience in benzos, I can totally agree with the "benzos are basically shit for recreational values".

I have tried Oxazepam & Diazepam (Valium). I got prescribed these for anxiety but thought I would try them at a safe but "recreational" dose.

Now as an opiate daily user and lover (only mild opiates, codeine, tramadol etc) benzos had no match at all. Now with most opiates most people are guaranteed euphoria, taking for granted the dose is right. I just find benzos "weird" and would like to know "why, who what where and when" with the people who claim benzos are extremely euphoric and enjoyable.

Slight contradiction but I have myself experienced euphoria from diazepam but only when combined with codeine, to be honest i think the codeine made up the majority of the euphoria.

Lets bare in mind, benzos are prescribed for anxiety and to help aid sleeping problems, personally I think they hit the spot for the job they are meant to do. I don't find them exciting, I couldn't even enjoy the sedation at all, it was strange. I no longer take benzos for anxiety, and if someone handed me over a few hundred benzos, I personally wouldn't even p*ss on them. Each to their own though.

I find Xanax to have a longer 'duration of action' than Valium. Diazepam/Valium's duration is incredibly short. Yes Diazepam/Valium has a long half life, but that doesn't mean that it lasts longer. I agree with K'dOutinAz 100%. I find a dose of 2mg Alprazolam/Xanax to last me a lot longer than a dose of 40mg Diazepam/Valium.

Although, I find Diazepam/Valium to be probably one of the most Euphoric of the benzo's I have tried. Just because it is a benzo that has that kind of 'warmth' to it.

^great evidence of their subjectivity. if a non-bluelighter told me that xanax last longer than valium, i'd assume that he or she had never taken either. and for me, 40mg of valium is significantly stronger than one bar of xanax.

There are no benzo "lovers."
^i love 'em.

Valium feels pretty strong for a benzo, especially at a dose of 40mg or 60mg. The only thing is, is that 'nice valium duration' does NOT last long at all, at least for me. But if I had to choose I would rate Valium/Diazepam as 'one' of the most euphoric benzo's.

Alprazolam or Bromazepam for really bad/severe anxiety.

Clonazepam - well I don't know, its a good benzo, but I find it very very subtle unless you take boat loads of it.

I understand but I don't want to get stuck on a anti depresant just to get my tolerance down. No doc has been open to big doses on a taper program. They just trow another thing like Paxil or some other stuff. Someone with some brains left pleas help! I'm on 10mg Zs (prescribed 5) and now for the last month 8mg kpin per day. (Prescribed) but the side effects of kpin sucks guys. So am I fucked because i upped benzo tolerance now doc is going to shit a brick. Am I going to go through WD from kpin? HELP

Benzos at recreational levels = no more anxiety or inhibitions, this is the perfect social or party drug for just letting loose and having fun, much like alcohol, but unlike alcohol, it does not slur your speech or cause you to urinate frequently or vomit...

But it can be easy to start with a bunch of benzos, and go to the bar and with no inhibitions combine downers and start downing shots and even snorting some down, before long, you are blacked out and wake up in a jail cell wearing stuff you do not remember getting, shitting your pants, seeing yourself on the news, etc.

I've tried just about every benzodiazpeine at some time in my life. The best is clonazepam. It's very very strong and it doesn't screw your head up. I've heard its the only benzo that has actually been indicated for long term anxiety. Second strongest I found to be bromazepam. Lorazepam is like bromazepam but without the sedative effect and at least as hard t withdraw from..Valium makes you agitated and anxious and its not so strong.Nitrazepam is strong but it makes you hungry. Oxazepam is considered weak but I quite like it. Librium is very very weak and xanax is strong but utter hell to withdraw from. Stay away. The z drugs (zopiclone and zolpidem) are not quite as difficult to withdraw from. Zopiclone tastes terrible and you can;t get rid of the taste becsuse its secreted in your saliva. Zolpidem is strong for a while I guess. Versed (midazolam) is a bit of a disappointment compared with my expectations. Don't even think of going anywhere near triazolam. The half life is so short and potency strong that you suffer withdrawal inbetween individual doses! They say nimetzazepam which is available in some south east countries is very strong but I've never had. If you have to go long term, go for klonopin (clonazepam). t will be hard to withdraw from because its very very high potency so you'll prob. have to do a valium conversion but its strong, sensible (ie. doesn't screw your head up) and keeps working longer than the others.Oh.. and a word about temazepam. I know it's very highly abused. Don't know why. It's not so strong. Take more than two and you can get a headache (and it's toxic!)Doesn't do much for muscle relaxant ok folks razfaddy signing off
