many many people have no problem with keeping their benzo doses on track and not getting themselves out of control. If you are a drug addict or have been one then obviously you shouldn't touch benzos unless you're already hooked. They are one of the most prescribed medications and there are no benzo epidemics happening. You can't even say that for opiates. Not that i recommend going on benzos.
It's funny though that i see 2 groups of people, people who quit benzos saying never touch them and people who use them daily who say well fuck it why not. I was in that first group for a while, now i'm in the second, so long as you don't abuse them or use them to get fucked up. If you are chasing a benzo high, your life will be shit and eventually you'll run out or screw up or something and go through the whole withdrawal/relapse process. For most people though, they don't end up like that. There is a disproportionate amount of people on here with benzo issues compared to the general population IMO.
