I cant figure out how I feel about edibles.

I recently acquired a large amount of HHC distillate and have become quite fond of just eating little globs of it. The issue I find is that often times I struggle to tell if I can feel it at all, at other times I have been greeted with a panic so intense that it honestly goes significantly beyond the majority of psychedelics and if I was a younger man would likely have called an ambulance. I have never got anxiety from smoking weed even massive amounts of dabs or experienced the not being able to breathe feeling that this can cause.

I gave up for a little while but today on my lunch break decided to eat a couple of extra globs, I had already eaten a few this morning with my breakfast.
A few hours later my skin became extremely sensitive to the touch I began to yawn and stretch my body I started to feel electrical tingles running up and down my arms and legs every time I stretched. It felt like a cuckoo land fun house mirror version of MDMA eventually once the intense Rush calm down a little bit I was left for the first time in my life legitimately stimulated from pot.
I could barely sit still and was pacing back and forth I was extremely talkative and outgoing but I wanted to go home so I could rub myself down in a hot shower.
I'm off work now headed home and have decided to embark on taking progressively larger doses measured out until I reach this point again so I can figure out exactly how much I need to take to get here. I just thought it was very strange that edibles could have such distinct effects and at such a very specific range where it went from mild to sedating to stimulating and after that it gets sedating and gives you anxiety I almost feel like I'm on a psychedelic mixed with an empathogen. Have any of you experienced anything similar? Was this some weird fluke experience or is there actually some specific dosage range where edible marijuana tends to bring on these weird psychedelic stimulant effects, or is it specific to hhc itself maybe?

rather than just eating globs cannabinoids usually work the best when dissolved in a fat like butter or olive oil. it can be take in a capsule, drank, or added to food

Cannabinoids typically aren't water soluble so it's hard for your digestive system to break apart that solid glob and absorb it effectively, dissolving it ahead of time helps a TON

I love milk with cinnamon sometimes but ive been pretty lazy 😂

that's fair but lazy efforts tend to yield poor results.

unless you just really enjoy the process, eating globs of distillate is a really inefficient use of your drugs.

[EDIT: I just googled HHC distillate. I would recommend NOT eating THC alternatives, but also I wouldn't consider them at all. Anybody who lived through the K2/spice era would probably tell you the same.

Never tried hhc, only decarbed thc weed in brownies. I decarbed thc cannabis in an oven to sprinkle in or mix it with food

Never tried the coconut oil or butter

Putting decarbed thc with dippy eggs is easy

Eating decarbed cannabis THC, definitely feels different than smoking it

Last time I did It I smoked more than usual dosing, which has been like 3-10 inhales a day, of high thc

The same day I ate it multiple times a day, which I may have eaten a gram or gram and half, idk, but it was way too much , felt out of it most of the time

Always start small for you, even if you have the house to yourself. Wasn't really that fun of an experience and don't really like high doses of any kind of cannabis CBD or THC, as I use both

With the cannabis being twenty to thirty percent THC only a few inhales is enough for me , maybe fifteen at the most in a day

As for edibls or decarbed thc (I used to eat it and did not know that it had to be cooked to even work) maybe start with about the amount you smoke, at one time

While I appreciate the concern one important issue is that I believe substances such as hhc are partial cannabinoid agonists rather than full, meaning they are more in line with delta-9 than K2. While they could have down the road effects that are unforseen, it is unlikely from my understanding that they would begin to display most of these issues now. Thc-p amd Thc-H would be the two to potentially worry about something like this most likely as they are so crazy strong. I could be be proven wrong though but I have encountered the original Spice chemicals before in their pure form and at the very least the fact that I see people able to eat a large amount and not have issues.

Anyways I do grow normal bud to use most of the time anyway.

I think partially I just haven't ever usually had edibles actually work and since I can smoke unlimited amounts of dabs or whatever when I do, not that I wouldn't ever generally want too... Never experiencing anxiety. I think it is just me being reminded that weed is an actual drug, and not just some weird coffee in-between thing.

I don't like the delayed effect, or how long it takes for them to hit me.
I don't, really have a life that allows me to get involved with something that I cannot suddenly drop due to a sudden emergency or need of my dependents.

I can at least schedule a time for myself to be a little high through smoking.
Were it not for that delayed effect I'd probably like edibles more.

I can relate to that, it is annoyingly long winded as well which means you basically need an entire day if you want to take anything but a tiny dose. I also do think that it has an annoying dosage response curve where it goes from too mild to too intense for a lot of people myself included. I have begun my experiment of taking a tiny little bit every day and working myself up until I find that dosage I did last night that felt stimulating. I took a small amount probably 50mg in my coffee and cream this morning with extra butter, I am hopeful that once I find my ideal dose I will be able to enjoy edibles more consistently, but we'll see.

Hey, your ruining that wonderfol idea of shooting weed.lol

Would you suggest melting THC gummies? If so and then what?

I once tried snorting a version of thc with a water soluble carrier molecule, unfortunately it still took just as long as edibles to come on and was wicked uncomfortable, but I didn't even think it would work the prospect of "snorting a marijuana" was just too funny to pass up.

I love being high for a long time, but, my life doesn't exactly allow me to.
There was a time when I was in my 20s where I was super reckless and suicidal and just didn't care.
As I'm getting older though it's more like strictly for medical use for my headspace these days...and of course it's nice to toss a movie on during that high time, or fire up an old 20-year-old+ video game I haven't played in a while.
I also don't like being high and being in public, so there's that too.

I met a guy, on vacation, we smoked together , he didnt have any weed amd wanted to smoke, so I said sure. He was a bit negative, and that gave me fuel, but he said he once smoked spice and it really messed him up, he said a metal spike went through his head, and even thoug it didn really happen in his mind t did and it was real for him

I have no idea what the eff he was talking about or what he was on but that story enough made me never want to do spice, and why would I if good old cannabis is an option

As far as finding your edible or decarb weed dose, I do think it is best to do a little bit and expirement up. I find before an hour and a half or maybe two hours before bed it seems to make sleep possibly better than smoking it. I seem to still feel eating it the next day noticable more than smoking

and im correct bc I just typed it in google it and it says

With edibles, THC is processed by the liver, leading to a delayed, more intense, and longer-lasting high, while smoking delivers THC directly to the lungs and bloodstream for a near-instant but shorter effect.
