Heroin I came up with a good idea for a better filter than just a cotton (i.v.)

This is the way I shoot up my dope and adderall and few random drugs. I think its the best, simple, way to filter it especially for adderall. Its very easy to do.

This is what you need:
2 oral syringes
Your choice of syringe w/ needle
Cotton
Spoon
Alcohol swabs
Clean water

Directions:
1) Put a piece of cotton, about double the size you would normally use, in one of the oral syringes. When you push the plunger down the cotton should be at about a little less then one ml.
2) Wipe your spoon with an alcohol swab and put the dope on it.
3) Draw up about .5ml of warm water with the second oral syringe.
4) Squirt it gentaly onto the spoon with the dope and mix it until it is completely dissolved.
5) Draw the dope/water with the same oral syringe.
6) Wipe off the spoon again with an alcohol swab.
7) Pull the plunger out of the syringe with the cotton and squirt the dope/water into it.
8. Put the plunger back into the syringe with the cotton and squirt it into the spoon. This will be your filtered solution.
9) Draw up the dope/water with a syringe with a needle.
10) Inject and enjoy. :D

This method is so much better than just using a cotton. No product is wasted and the filtration is superior.

EDIT: You can use a little less cotton than what I said before. I always get the same amount of liquid that I measured out in the final syringe for injection.

Warm water should never be used because it dissolves binders that are not readily water soluble.

A micron filter should really be the only option when one is injecting pills in an ideal world.

step 9 you should put another cotton in the spoon when drawing up with a needle. you do not want to draw solution out of a spoon using a needle without using a cotton, it serves as an additional filter, and it protects the tip of the needle from being damaged by the spoon.

Wiggi, I think it would be very difficult to prove this is more healthy, but looking at the steps I think its clear that it contains additional filtration steps to just pulling through a cotton, so in my opinion it will be as safe or safer than the normal way.

Not to be a party pooper but this doesn't seem less wasteful at all. A bit of solution is always gonna be in the cotton or whatever syringe you use. The health benefits don't seem worth the effort, micron filters seem way easier.

I don't have any evidence that this filters out more than throwing a cotton in a spoon and drawing up through that, but I certainly believe it to be a better option than that - for someone who is unable/unwilling to get a micron filter. It's a pretty well-known and often-recommended method on this site. Obviously a micron filter is the best and people shouldn't inject pills without a micron filter, but if they are set on doing it I do think this method is better than the usual cotton in a spoon method.

In order to not lose so much solution in the cotton you can add some extra water after the initial filtration. But really I don't think the amount of solution lost should be any more than would be lost using a cotton in spoon method.

Im saying its less of a waste than just putting a cotton in a spoon. With adderall, if you do that the needle gets cloged, it doesnt work. Im not saying its saferer but it does seem like it could be. I have no proof. I just wanted to share my idea.

Micron filters are given out at some needle exchange programs, but can easily be ordered online.

Good point. I guess it would be safer just as long as one followed proper sterile techniques.
