(I put this under benzos even those it's a Z-drug)

Hi!

I've recently introduced myself to zopiclone. I can take 3,75 mg (half a tablet) with little anxiolytic benefit, but taking 7,5 mg makes me blackout. I thought I'd use this for treating anxiety, but it really seems to be a strong sleeping med. I really don't benefit from blacking out, and I was curious if others have experienced the same thing with this drug and dose? It shouldn't be THAT strong, should it? Am I just extra sensitive to this drug or what's the deal?

Why don’t you just take the lower dosage if it works for you? And why not a benzo? That’s probably the most effective thing for anxiety.

In general, drugs that act on GABA receptors can be a little unpredictable. I’ve blacked out on 0.25 mg of Xanax with just 2 beers, whereas a lot of times in the past I’ve taken huge amounts of Xanax with way more alcohol and was completely fine, no blackout or anything. Go figure..
