Hi. I was wondering if anyone knew the answer to this. I want to know if fentanyl causes long term brain damage/changes. There's a lot of information out there that says certain opiates such as heroin do with repeated long term use. That is, aquiring permanent changes going beyond normal withdrawal and brain readjustment after you quit. So my question, is fentanyl in the 'permanent changes' category? I know it is a commonly prescribed drug. Does anyone know the answer to this?

yea... fentanyl is stronger then heroin... and all opiates fuck with the receptors in your brain and you dont become an addict over night and you cant fix it over night either... sooo if your just startin out your best bet is to just stop before it gets to that point...

Yeah, fentanyl is kind of hardcore as far as opiates go. It will fuck up your tolerance in a big way, and if you develop an addiction to fent, you have to re-dose constantly because it is so short-acting....which can easily go wrong. Are you experienced with opiates? Unless you are at the point where nothing else works for you, I see no point in doing fentanyl at all, ever.
