Im smiliing because today i officially banned the following from being consumed at my work (note i work at a fitness insitution)

- hungry jacks (particularly their new burger)
- maccas
- kfc
- orporto

I'm smiling cuz it's soon to be my first fathers day as a dad, complete with a BBQ and bottles of Makers Mark given to me :) Oh and my dad and my 6 month old baby son will be there, good times!
 
My smile for the day:

Introduced myself to the pretty girl I have my eye on. We have the same class tomorrow so I'll chat a little more and see what she's up to this weekend. She's been looking my way the last couple times I've seen her around so I assume there's something there. Let's find out. Excited.
 
We have Oporto Fridays at my new work, *starfalls* and kke. ;):D

I'm smiling today as I am finally finding my feet in my new role. It feels so fucking good to be able to strut my stuff! I have extreme prowess when it comes to completing several reporting tasks that fall within my responsiblity and it was nice to be showered with great feedback after my first execution today.

Also management announced an incentive today that involves a $500 shopping spree for every member of the office if we reach target for the end of year period. They really know how to motivate an office full of girls. <3

Also - it's Oporto Friday. %)

So they can't bring junk food in and eat it but it's ok if they eat at the restaurant?

Why did you need to do this? Are your staff fat or is it because of the image it portrays to your clients?

I don't eat this stuff much but I do eat it now and then. I would be offended if my boss decided to tell me what I could or couldn't eat. I'm sure you have your reasons though so I'm intrigued about what they are! :)
 
My lovely boyfriend bought me a copy of Spore (awesome new computer game) as a surprise. Its kind of like evolution sims :D. Also he ripped off EB Games while doing it, which makes it even sweeter (they suck).
 
Putting a deposit on my new car tomorrow and bank's already agreed to the loan, just have to sign papers on Monday.

I'm now financially viable enough for people to lend me money. Who would have ever thunk it?

Spore, what a mint concept for a game. Once i upgrade my computer it's the top of the list of games i want.

I don't need sub woofers, they just make the bass drum annoying and the bass line override the guitars :)

I'm getting a 2004 Holden Astra sedan. It's time to retire my Commodore, it's stupidly expensive on fuel.

The Astra is marginally more aesthetically pleasing to me than the rest of the 4 cylinder cars.

Chatted with hot european girl again today (I'm thinking she's Paraguaian now, so totally wrong continent) and asked her out, she said maybe another time. So it's not a total rejection.

Then Dad's Day picnic with the spores..... maybe even a dip in the Pacific :D

this may sound like a wierd one but i'v been workin on this 4 months. as some may have read in other threads iv been having lots of problems with bad dreams, i also started out on this lucid dreaming thing months ago, even joined a forum bout it but got lazy and stopped the journal but have still been recalling no matter how unpleasnt... last nites sleep was not much different after having several reallly unpleasnt ones the last being just unacceptible, i became aware, did the "reality check" (i place my finger on my palm to see if it will go through) and for the first time became fully lucid:)
this was great, the room and most awful of situations i was in melted into wonderfull colures and they surrounded me like the most beautifull trip i have EVER had, oranges , purples, greens, yellows. every colour all melted me into a couloured wonderfull plane of existance, the horrible place and situation i was in was gone and i was standing eventualy in a sorta luxury apartment, looking over a city with all the coulours in a psycadelic kinda spin weaving throught the sky8o
i never thought i could have such an experience with out some kind of psycadelic, it made me wake calmed yet exited feeling even just a little healed and a lot more unbothered by the previous dreams... yer kinda wierd but its something i have to smile about... way to get lucid SMFG i pat myself on the back and have a smile:) :)
 
^that's awesome news, glad to hear it.

i've worked to become lucid before but haven't ever got there - might have to start trying again :)

Haha that sounds like it was fun!

When you get up at 4:30 every weekday it's hard to sleep in on the weekend. So rather than try, I just own it and get up and do stuff :)
