IT'S SUCH A SUNNY AND LOVELY DAY IN SYDNEY.

I was thinking walking to the train station at work how i need a pair of sunglasses, lo and behold I find a pair of "Onassis" sunnies. Women's i think but very good!
 
Oh maaaan. I bought half a dozen new Aussie cd's at a JB that I found up the coast today, and just started listening to them now.

Two Toes - Cooking with Caustic (apparently these guys are from The Blue Mountains) Playing this first. I fucking love Aussie hip hop in general, so so much. And this up-beat stuff it totally my style.

Hearing new stuff for the first time is awesome if its good, and soo smile worthy :D

Aus hip hop is such a huge part of my life these days, I never tire of it. Seeing Bliss n Eso in Byron in a fortnight, they are ok. I have dozens of Aussie hip hop cd's now. Fresh!
 
My smile is from going to the osteopath today - apparently my pelvis is out of alignment so one leg is shorter than the other, causing my spine to do crazy twisty things to try and compensate, all ending in ouchies for Jo.

That part sucks, but it's awesome to know what the problem is and see the light at the end of the tunnel. My back and neck get sore all the time, and while it's not chronic or anything it's exciting to think soon it may be in my past!

My other smile is I bought a pretty wallet on the weekend, green and made of eel!
 
I've had the same issue. Do you get pain in your feet/ankles when you walk or do exercise?

Mine turned out to be a problem with my feet, got orthotics and all my back pain/issues disappeared within months.

I have a twisty pelvis too. Thankfully my chiro is a genius and is trying to get me on the straight and narrow (well, just straight really).

My smile for today was watching Busty climb to glory with his touch football team last night and meeting one of his patients who happened to be opposing him on the field.
Turns out this kid has a contract to play professionally in the under 20's league, and has had it since he was 15. Didn't stop the older, more experienced Busty putting him in his place though. ;)

I'm also smiling at the thought of having two of my favourite BLers over for dinner tomorrow night. I've been put on dessert duties today so I will have to start doing some research.
 
Last night i rocked up at my basketball game to be presented with the MVP trophy for the competition for the Winter season! :)

I thought it was just for my team, but the lady told me it was the best player for the entire comp (like 12 teams and around 90 players) for the season, who got the most votes from the refs!!

i almost fell over especially since our team missed out on finals this season!

Is it sad that a little trophy made me feel so good?!
 
Not at all. You're better than 90 other people in a side that isn't even playing finals. I'd be stoked if it was me....

1. We have a box of 900 tampons in the office from one of the bazillion events we are running during 30 Days of Fashion and Beauty.

2. My boss has been on leave for the last week and is back tomorrow.

1+2. We have booby trapped his office so that when he walks in tomorrow he is going to have lines of strung up unwrapped tampons flying at him. It could be really funny or we could be in a lot of trouble. Either way I was in hysterics rigging up his office this afternoon.

Actually...just as I was writing this I realised I was the only person with the key to his office while he was gone. Hrm....
 
i smiled much today when i found out that telstra's strong armed and thug like treatment of its staff failed to push them into voting for a non-union agreement despite only having about 20% of its staff union members.

bwahahahahaahahahaahaahaha. suck my fucking arse, telstra you pathetic and evil bunch of cunts. bwahahahahah

I'm smiling because I have 4 wonderful seats for the football on Friday, and at least 2 of my favourite people are going to be there with me :D

Also, I spent my night frowning and crying because my old employers are fuckwits who still haven't paid me, and just when I thought I might starve to death, a new client popped up and wanted to pay a deposit. Thanks, universe!
 
  • Receiving two of my best friends' from high school's wedding invitation in the mail. They've been together for 10 years. :D
  • Booking flights hoooooome to go to aforementioned wedding and finding they're ridiculously cheap!
  • Booking tickets to see Wall-E this Friday night. We're big kids. ;)

2. I'm going out for dinner on friday night with a friend, which I'm looking forward to :D

3. Getting msg's from a friend all day, that make me smile and blush at the same time. It's making the day go alot better! =D
 
Angus & Robertson today became the first Australian book chain to
install the Espresso Book Machine (EBM), capable of printing, trimming and
binding a paperback book on demand within minutes.

It was dubbed an "ATM for books" by Time magazine, which last year named it
one of the best inventions of the year.

Shoppers will initially be able to choose from several hundred out-of-print
or difficult to get hold of books, but Angus & Robertson said the range
would expand daily, reaching 10,000 within 18 months. They would cost the
same as the current shelf price of paperbacks or less, the retailer
said.

The EBM is now up and running in Angus & Robertson's Bourke Street store
in Melbourne, but the company said it would have up to 50 machines installed
throughout its Australia and New Zealand network within a year.
