I am really confused about whether I got black tar h or opium... west coast NA

So one of my friend claimed for so long that the shit I've been smoking from him for so long has been opium... when its cold its hard and when its warm its sticky. and black.

today for the first time in my life got another opiate hook and got some "black tar"... the shits brown and doesnt stick to the foil at all... when its burned it burns a little diff from the "opium" i had before. tastes a little more sweet, smells a little less intense, but when it enters my throat it has an initial burn...

somehow feels like this is weaker than the "opium"...

can someone tell me how to correctly identify each and figure out what the hell do i really have?

Disclaimer: We usually don't allow substance I.D. threads since they usually result in endless speculation. We can't identify what you have through our computers, and the only sure way to know is a chemical analysis via a GC/MS method.

I feel that the harm reduction value of this thread outweighs the possible negatives, so I will allow this to continue for now. -Tommyboy

Opium is extremely rare.

BTH (black tar heroin) is said to have a vinegary smell to it.

I have only smoked opium on top of weed. It did taste sweet though.
 
one of the bag came out to be sand/rocky and i burned it on foil, a little bit of smoke came out, sand turns black from yellow/brown... doesnt stick to the foil

tastes kinda grassy

is it sand..... that i just smoked.... or is it h....
 
balloon....

out of curiosity i poured few drop of water and then burn it on foil.... surprisingly it starts to melt....

too bad out of the 7 baggies 4 were those sand and i dumped it all out thinking i got jacked and it was rock/sand

it may be china white?

is it true some h dont burn on foil?
 
there were two kinds i got today random out of balloon.... one being brownish mud that sticks on foil when smoked

other being yellow/brownish sand/rock... and doesnt stick on foil just turn color to black when burned and tastes kinda grassy

affter pouring some water and then burn, the second type starts to dissolve
 
I highly doubt it is china white. It is not very common on the west coast, probably less common than opium.

You can always put a drop of it in your nose to see if it tastes like vinegar.

There is the powder tar, that basically turns into tar with humidity, so that is a possibility.
 
real fuckin weird.... the supposedly "heroin" is weaker than the "opium"... (well if it was opium, its the only thing i ever smoked)
 
so basically i should just stop thinking about the rock/sand shit i got.... cuz most likely its not heroin since it doesnt stick to the foil correct?
 
Typically no but, we can't really tell ya just based on description ya know. I'm going to close this because I feel that we've described the two substances as best as we can and you've already used the substance. You should look for descriptions of both substances, maybe on errowid and draw the best conclusion you can because none of us are there with you and there's nothing more that we can do.

In the future please use the dit button instead of triple posting too.
