:? I have so many questions that I want to ask...but I am not sure where to post, and how to ask. I just read a few replies to a question this morning, and many of them were very rude and hateful...
Isn't this site for advice? Isn't this site fir harm reduction? I mean for example...people who prefer to use medication IV, THEY WILL FIND A WAY TO DO SO...SO WHY NOT JUST TELL THEM THE SAFEST WAY? Instead of putting them down...and making them feel worse about themselves than they already do, just because a few people just dont agree with the way they choose to use their meds????

Hi oxy4toolong. I'm sorry you had a bad first impression with Bluelight. The best advice I can give you is to make sure that you read every forum's guidelines before posting in the forum and to run a search of your question before asking it so your thread doesn't get closed and you don't get flamed. When I first joined I found it beneficial to just kind of lurk for a little bit too before posting to see how things were being run and get a feel for each forum and Bluelight as a whole.

Hey there oxy4. You are correct, for people already into the IV route, we do promote and inform people of the safest IV technique. We are a harm reduction which means we try to inform people on the least harmful way to do a drug. We do not allow people to suggest IVing as a method unless the OP has stated they are looking for info about IV.

Don't let a few comments shape your idea on the forum. We are a friendly and helpful bunch. Sometimes an unhelpful or negative response is posted but the mods do their best to take care of anything that isn't helpful.

What is the general gist of the questions you have (i.e.: what drug, what problem, etc) and I'll try and direct you to the correct sections you can go to ask them.

true. i so agree with ur post OP. its like how guidelines on how to properly bang fentanyl patches were basically fully banned for awhile. post ur lil rant in ur question post and start off by saying ur not lookin for a lecture u just want honest info. and usually 1/3 people will actually answer u and wont ream u out, the rest r still on their high horse but fuck its not like u gotta acknowledge em, i dont. welcome!

We are attempting to make a mark as an informational, useful, and most importantly a harm reduction forum. We aren't going to suggest or condone topics that are obviously harmful. (the latest craze with shooting the new OP oxys is a good example) You don't need to put a disclaimer at the beginning of your thread or post stating you aren't looking for a lecture. Most people know that (you might get an occasional jerk who wants to spit out words) so asking a question in a honest straight to the point manner is the best way to go about it. If the topic appears harmful you are definitely going to get some feedback on the risks and why it shouldn't be done. That isn't a lecture it's harm reduction information, maybe not the information you were hoping for, but information on what educated people believe to be safe.

Secondly...

I hope you feel nothing but peace and love coming from me but I will be frank in this post.

1) At Bluelight, we are going to give you advice that is intended to minimize or eliminate the harm associated with drug use, even intravenous drug use.

2) Not all medications/drugs can be injected intravenously. Some have adverse effects when done so; sometimes, some drugs must be taken with another route of administration (ROA).

3) Some medications, specifically tablets, can be loaded full of inactive ingredients. Sometimes the actual percentage of the drug in the medication is quite low. In these circumstances, it takes a lot of work to remove most to all of the inactive ingredients. You may not be able to remove all of the inactive ingredients.

4) Without using micron filters, injecting tablets is going to inevitably lead to harm. This is because your body is not meant to have insoluble particles in the blood stream. These often end up being filtered by organs within the body, such as the eyes, the lungs, and so on. Even with micron filtering, some inactive ingredients will be soluble to certain degrees, and other inactive ingredients are going to get through, such as some coloring agents.

5) Because there are a plethora of complications that can arise from injection drug use, we often encourage people not to inject drugs intravenously, without having done extensive research on the subject prior to beginning.
