shunning layers of built up emotion,
walls put up to protect a broken heart,
an untouchable in disguise,
"put on a happy face" they said, so i did,
All the while withering on the inside,
"everyone needs love, even me."
So I sit and wait, but for what,
those deep blue eyes, and soft skin,
a kiss so sweet, it almost hurts,
a touch, tempting my emotions,
It was 2 long sad years, but well worth the wait,
For now I have found peace & happiness,
I was waiting for an angel, and now you are here.
