hi bluelighters! this is my first time posting. i read through a lot of this site, and i didn't see anything that answers my question, so i feel i should post it here.
i'll ask my question first, then give a rather long (apologies to those of you who read slowly or can't concentrate for a long time!) background on what happened to me the other night, and then i'll re-pose my question.
do any of you use meth or other speed-substances only a few times a year? like once every 3 or 4 months?
ok, so now here's my story: i'm a happy, healthy, 21 year old girl from the east coast. i've taken ecstasy 8 times in my life, and haven't experimented much with any other drugs except for nitrous and pot, so when someone gave me meth and told me it was ecstasy, i believed what he said. the other night, i was at one of my favorite party spots, and a guy with whom i am aquainted asked me if i wanted any E. i hadn't rolled for about 2 months, so i was interested. i asked him what kind he had, and he said they were called green apples. i had never heard of them before, so i asked him questions about them. first i asked, "are they speedy or dopey?" and he replied, "well, umm... they're kinda in between." that seemed appropriate for the kind of night i wanted to have, so i purchased one for me and one for my boyfriend. we took them around midnight.
i immediately felt the effects of what i thought was very strong ecstasy. i was totally unable to stop moving, but this was ok with me, because there was tons of room to dance, and that night's jungle music was hitting me just right, so i danced the whole night away. i felt confident and beautiful, which isn't how i usually feel in day to day life. i was sweating profusely, but i didn't mind. i was dancing alone with many people watching me for hours, even though that would normally make me feel very scrutinized and afraid of looking bad. during the party, i was pleased with the drug experience, but my boyfriend was not. he kept telling me that he wasn't rolling and that he thought that we had gotten bad pills. i explained to him that i felt great, loved the pills, and was having the time of my life.
so anyway, at his request, we left the party and went home around 5:30am. (another friend of ours who had remained sober all night drove us home.) usually, i find it hard to stay awake til morning, because i have to get up at 6:45am on weekdays, so being awake for 24 hours on a friday often doesn't suit me well, and i am often the first one in my group of friends to get tired and ask to go home. however, this time, i returned home and tried to go to sleep, but couldn't manage to stay still or even keep my eyes closed. i finally fell asleep around 2pm saturday afternoon, and stayed asleep til 7am sunday morning when my boyfriend insisted that i get up because he was alarmed that i had slept for so long.
later that day, i went to pillreports.com. i intended to post a wonderful, glowing report, stating that i had the best roll of my life on these green apple pills. then i noticed that some other people had already posted reviews of them. they reported that they had tested the pills with a dancesafe.org kit (which, being a member of dancesafe, i can trust to give accurate results.) the pills turned out to be meth, and not E. other people wrote in to substantiate the fact that these pills were meth, and all of them were from my area, and had been taken the same week as i took mine, so it is almost certain that they came from the same source.
at first i was upset because the guy i had bought them from had quite obviously lied to me right to my face. when i asked if the green apple pills were speedy, he should have said that they were extremely so (being that they were speed and not E), or if he had not tested them himself and seriously didn't know that they were speed and not E, he should have admitted that to me. my boyfriend was very upset when i told him that i found out that the pills were really meth, for many reasons: he felt that $20 per pill of oral meth was very expensive, he was upset that i was lied to by one of my trusted raver acquaintances, and he was also upset because i really, REALLY enjoyed the experience, and he fears that i could end up harming myself.
its wednesday night now, and i've spent a lot of time thinking about meth. i definitely like it far more than E. meth gave me the kind of experience that i've always hoped for everytime i took an E pill. since it a better feeling (in my opinion) and should be cheaper (if i get it from a more honest dealer), i am considering ditching E and doing meth or other speed substances in its place. my boyfriend expressed that he felt it was a very bad idea for me to do that, since we've been rolling about once every month or two, so i asked what he thought of the idea of me taking it just a few times a year.
now, (after all that background info) comes my actual question for all you guys-- nowhere on this site (or other sites i have studied) are there reports of people who use meth or other speed substances just a few times a year. are there any of you out there? i know that speed-like substances have a very high potential for addiction, but i would hate to never have that beautiful experience again! do you guys think its possible for a person to use speed-products just 3 or 4 times a year?
