I’m lost

yeah this may be true but all the old hands are fading out now and the greenhorns seem to lack the balls to do the work. i think the ratio of con vs non-con was probably 25 % to 75. but hey, whos counting but me, right?
sorry ya have to go through this. i know ironworkers play hard as fuck and also know a few that have passed through ODs. not many, though. we are fairly boastful and open with conversation so i really think that he hid nothing from you. i suspect contaminated meth (fent) but am curious to know what comes back from tox. please keep us posted?
welcome and hoping all this works out for the best.

I hope my felon comment didn’t offend you. The guys he’s be working with on current job are the lights that are pushing me through.

Looks like you may be an ironworker yerself. ;) Hadnt heard this in a while (been off the steel for a few years) but say this in my current situation and no one seems to grasp the meaning... which is apropriate I suppose.
Started welding when I was around 7 or 8 and went in full time after getting released in 92. Been at it for around 50yrs. Did ol' boy ever post here ya think? Just curious cause I seem to remember there is another ironworker here (or was) a while back.
Damn I hate to hear of another lost brother but life seems full of gains and losses... I am just super bad at losses and I am gettin to be a sappy old bastid these days.
I am from the south and never been in a union but when I finished my last erection in S Fla the money was awesome and the skilled workers were very few.
Hope to see ya about, yeah? We tend to grow together here or fade off alone.
Best always,
<3
