*** Let me start off by saying I DO NOT plan on doing this in anyway. I am not an idiot nor do I wish to screw up my 20/20 vision. Mainly I am asking because growing up my father was a hardcore alcoholic, to the point of drinking on Antabuse pills. He would drink bottles of mouthwash, cooking wine and whatever else. My mother used to hide bottles of rubbing alcohol because he threatened to drink it many times (never did) but it got me wondering. Would rubbing alc cause acute alcohol intoxication identical to ethanol?? I am gladhe never did, but started drinking crazy shit like mouthwash once she kept finding his liquor bottles.I am sure if he did make an attempt to drink rubbing alcohol on top of his antabuse it would have deff killed him.

Yes, it produces drunkenness, but it's also very hard on your liver and kidneys and will produce a truly awesome hangover.

I know several people who drink pharm grade alc because its so cheap ($0.50c where i live)
they mix it up first with water like 1:10 and then they will drink small ammounts with a soft drink or juice. I know i drink way too much and am probably an alcoholic but i have not reached this point and dont plan to ever, the people who are drinking alcohol are usualy the ones on theyre last legs.

sure... you start off mixing 5 o clock vodka with isopropyl alcohol. then, its mouthwash, and maybe even paint thinner. pretty soon your hiding in the bathroom at 3am behind the door pinching your nose, drinking old spice. is this really the path you want to take ??? youd be better off making toilet wine like they do in prison

It will make you drunk and possibly damage your organs drinking it straight. It can also be absorbed through the skin. Back in the day they would rub it on people who had fever to drop their temp. You can not do this on babies due to their small size and intoxication.

I heard on the news about some kids getting into the hand sanatizer and drinking a small portion and being drunk. No harm came to them that was reported.

^the things people will do to get high.... i remember in the late 90's there was a big deal about kids boiling their hemp clothes and necklaces, to extract the thc. oh crap! i have to check the toaster oven and see if my banana peels are ready to smoke! right after i take this huge bong rip of nutmeg and morning glory seeds! :D

lol

Someone I worked with drank some and got really sick, puking etc... He was an alcoholic so could handle his alcohol, but not that stuff.

I watched someone black out on the stuff, fall face first onto the pavement, breaking her nose. We thought she was like on the ground crying or something, until a pool of blood emerged from around her face, she might have drowned in her own fucking blood if we hadn't been there. Such a great time was had at the emergency room that night. 8(

Drinking isopropyl alcohol is definitely not something anyone should attempt given any circumstances at any point in time.

i remember in h.s (2007) i had like 2 shots of the 97% mixed with pepsi and ended up being wasted and then i dry heaved and eventually puked this brown shit. never ever again will i do that, it was fucking disgusting.

thanks man. i hope to enjoy my stay by the way. im also part of another forum so i can have a little change of pace and post on a different one also

Their is a common miss-conception that isopryl alcohol can kill you with as little as a few drops, which is why some people are turned off from substituting it with ethanol when an alcohol solvent is required for whatever project. A few drops won't do anything, it isn't until 10+mls are consumed that it becomes a dangerous toxin. This is definetly not me recommending u drink 10mls of the stuff though, it still is very poisonous but not to the extent that it would be dangerous even once evaporated out of whatever substance you might have dissolved in it. Sort of an irrelevant post I'm making but what can ya do.

Man, I don't know how anybody could stomach drinking an entire bottle of that shit. I've mixed up glasses and drank it on accident and it was the WORST taste I've ever had in my mouth.
