Getting two of my front teeth crowned and veeneered with porcelain. The dentist has suggested a local anaesthetic along with either Nitrous Oxide or Hypnovel.
Has anyone got an experience with this ?
Apparently the surgery will take 2 hours.
Which on of these drugs do you think will keep me feeling less anxious for longer ?
Also, has anyone had any veneer or crown work that they can tell me anything about ?
Thanks
:)

yeah! that versed is killer... I think it is for anxiety and they give you enough of it so you don't remember the surgery...well at least I didn't....
actually the first thing I remember is waiting in the pharmacy for my script..
gotto love going to the denist...they give out the best meds for the smallest amout of work

With Versed, not only will you forget the entire proceedure, but it gives you some form of amnesia in which you forget events even prior to taking it.
Really, you're much better off with nitrous oxide. Not that either are going to neccessarily be recreational in the way in which you'll be given them. But at least you might remember the first 5 seconds of euphoria with nitrous.
With Versed, you won't even remember having a good time.
