I've always wondered why I seem to get real talkative and hyper when I take opiates. I'm not gonna exagerate...I nod later on just like most would. I'm wondering if it's all in my head and that I'm just excited to get what I want... <3

Never taken opiates, but funny thing is that if I take too much adderall/amps, it makes me mellow and sleepy.

I'd bet that opiates effect me the same way they do you

I don't know why exactly opiates sometimes give people more energy or make them "hyper", but I know that that's not too uncommon of an effect for people to experience.

For whatever reason, Fentanoyl (sp?) makes me really hyper. & Oxycodone, as well as Vicodin to some degree, sometimes make me feel at least a bit more energetic.

It's not uncommon at all that you experience an energy burst from oxy. Many, if not all users do. Back in the day I would love to do a little oxy before work in the morning just to get that energy burst to get my day going.

opiates work on dopamine and a lot of people get hyper from opiates. Totally normal and some opiates make people more hyper than others.

I get extremely hyper while on fentanyl, I can't shut up and at times I have a real hard time sitting still, or sitting in general. I also get this effect with all benzos.

Alot of opiates make me hyper, some don't though. I think it has to do with what the synthetics are derived from, for example oxycodone is derived from Thebaine which is a stimulating substance. anyway I find most opiates make me hyper at first and sedated later.

Opiates that don't make me hyper at all include Poppies, morphine, codiene, and heroin

Many people feel this way, and post about it on here. Feel free to browse other peoples' threads. There are MORE than enough.
