Hydroxyzine

Hey, I have slight anxiety sometimes and want to try hydroxyzine, I don't want to use a benzo due to the cognitive impairment as well as the horror stories I have read on here from users.

Has anyone here tried hydroxzyzine?

I have never asked my doctor for a specific drug before, is it a common occurrence for patients to ask for specific drugs outside of what they are currently advertising on TV?

It may help you, but not in the way benzodiazepines will.
Benzodiazepines are not all that bad, you just have to use them correctly. (As needed)

If you dose anything higher than 50mg on hydroxyzine you will also have cognitive problems as well as overwhelming sedation. If you anxiety is as slight as you say it is, try it, it won't hurt to do so.

Even better, you could try a 50 mg dose of doxylamine (Unisom tablets) to get a little relief.
This will also show you a close representation of how Hydroxyzine (Also a sedating anti-histamine) will work for your anxiety.
