Hi so recently I had a surgery and was prescribed 90 2mg of Hydrophone (Dilaudid) and wanted to know how much they should take ORALLY because I will not IV or snort the pill. Yes they've heard it's a waste unless you IV but I would just like to get a general idea of how much they would need to eat to feel high. I have very little tolerance. And how long does it take to kick in orally? And How does it make you feel compared to Oxycontin OP? Thanks a lot for any help you can give!

Everybody's tolerance is different. If I remember correctly, 8mg is the strongest tablet of that stuff they make. 2mg is lowest. If you have little to no tolerance start at 1 pill and wait to see how you feel in 45min to an hour and go from there. Remember, go slow. You can always take more but if you start with to much, you will end up puking and being miserable. For me, diluadid makes my throat feel tight and the high is shorter then that of the OxyContin but OxyContin is formulated to last longer to begin with. Stay safe!

I have to take dilaudid pretty often for kidney stones, and my Neuro used to prescribe it for my migraines so I have extensive experience with the pills. Orally they take at least half an hour, sometimes a bit longer, to kick in. They're a little bit smoother than ocs and give a more mellow, less sleepy feeling. They're actually made in 1, 2, 4 and 8mg by the manufacturer so up to 8mg at a time (at the least) should be a safe dose, but if you have a low tolerance and want to use them for the warm fuzziness I'd start at 4 and see how that does. You can always take more a little at a time if you're not feeling it. Hope this helps! :)

If you're looking for a buzz, are opioid naive and are committed to the oral route, you'll need at least 10mg. The fact that you're in pain doesn't help, as I've dealt with surgery 12 times in my life and find that the euphoric effects of opioids are greatly reduced when in pain.

I recommend the IV route if you're going purely for euphoria and efficiency, but as always, IV'ing pills comes with numerous health risks, so tread lightly.

The runner up behind IV is insufflation. ~66% bioavailability compared to the ~30% associated with the oral ROA. You can easily get more mileage out of your pills by going this route, even if you don't enjoy or want to insufflate them.

How about creating a dilaudid nasal spray out of your pills?

You can filter out the binders & have pure daudid up your niae thru a nasal spray.......

Also, I believe the BA is higher with a nasal spray than just snorting the pills.

ust snort them. The high lasts awile and it's not as insanely addictive as IV dilaudid.

plug it. Plugging is much more effective than oral, snorting, and smoking for a lot of drugs. Since the oral BA is so low plugging would be a definite improvement, plus it causes almost no harm to your body. Start really low and check out opiate conversions, assume 90% bioavailability.
