I just took 8 mg of dilaudid orally at 10pm, about 30 min ago. How long before I feel anything? And how long before it is safe to redose. No tolerance.

I wouldn't consider redosing. That's a fairly large amount for someone with no tolerance, despite low oral bioavailability. Please dont throw anything else into the mix. You should feel something soon.
 
8mg of dilaudid is a lot for someone w/o a tolerance.......I hope since dilaudid has a low BA orally you dont overdose. Like mentioned above, you should be okay & dont take anything else tonight. Let us know how it affected you.........like did it work well for pain/how high it got you, etc.

Definitely don't snort two of them without a tolerance, as there is a higher BA. I would even start with a half of one, and go from there.

i have a tolerance of 20 mgs of oxy maxa and i plugged 4 mgs but the other night i ate 4 mg and sniffed 4 and i was wrecked, i snorted the first one and didnt feel much so after 15 mins i ate the other 4 and was stupid high. ill stick with 6 for now on i think.

i would say plug 2 or eat 4.
 
according to a dosage convertor 8mg of dilaudid (I.V./I.M/S.C.) is equivalent to 106mg of oxycodone oral. saying oral oxy ba is around 70% the equivalent dose i.v. would be around 75mg oxy, so that should give you an idea of how much to do since oxy tends to be more common. conversion isn't an exact science but it tends to be fairly accurate. always start low with opiates, if your not injecting then you won't miss out on any rush.

an thissux420, just so we're clear you injected 32mg of hydromorphone, which id equivalent to 660mg of oral morphine, and you think its okay to suggest someone with no tolerance do half of that? the bioavailability of oral dosing will be lowered but it's still pretty reckless to say "I did x amount of this drug, so you should be fine doing y amount" (x amount being an outrageously high dose that seasoned veterans would think twice before using). smarten up man, you're not going to impress anyone with your bullshit, and for all we know someone could read your post and think it's okay to shoot 4 dilaudid because "thissux420" said it got him fucked up.
 
Well I took the 8 mg and didnt feel anything so after an hour and 20 minutes I took another 4 mg making the dose 12 mg total. I didnt feel much at all. I felt a little light headed and extremely itchy. Like all over itchy. Was annoying. Guess people where right about dilaudid having a terrible oral BA.

It's surprising you didn't get completely rocked off of 12mg's of hydromorph with no tolerance, low oral BA withstanding. Some people just have a naturally higher opiate tolerance and are affected in different ways by them.

Take it as a sign and don't bother with them again. Taking more will probably just add to your uncomfortable state, not get you to where you want to be recreationally.
 
if you got all itchy then hydro hit you, surely, being itching a common opiate side effect.
The fact you didn't get high is probably due to a natural opiate tolerance like mr scagnattie said
I'd suggest to try snorting half the starting dosage (4mg) and start from there, remembering you can always take more and never less ;)
regarding thissux420 answer, i think it's a perfect example of BAD posting. Please ignore him if you don't want to risk an OD. Totally worthless in a HR contest.
I would like to know if you tried any benzo and if yes, wich,at wich dosage and how much did it hit you..just for compare your tolerance in general (:

Thanks to everyone for the replies. Ya I think I will steer clear of oral Dilaudid. Maybe try plugging again.
As for the Benzos, I have taken Xanax twice. The first time I took 2 mg. I felt good. I knew what was going on and I was very relaxed. After about 45 minutes I decided to take another 1 mg making the dose 3 mg total. Then I blacked out, ate everything in sight apparently ( I vaguely remember that ) and passed out.

The second time I took Xanax I took 2.5 mg right off the bat and blacked out again. Once again eating all I could find. I remember more this time than the first.

Doesn't sound like you're having much luck with benzos either... ha
 
heh 2-3 mg of xanax isn't such a low dosage btw :P
my treshold is 0.5 mg so i can understand passing out with 2.5 mg hehe alprazolam is quite powerful imo
maybe, howeaver, you are lucky to not feel opiates very much...it keeps you away from addiction (:

seroquel munchies take the cake in my opinion. I've gone through a weeks worth of groceries in one night on that shit.
 
you shoundnt need to redose. 4mgs up my nose sends me and anyone i know into a boarderline nod if we let our tolerances return to zero.

try railing in next time. its almost doubles the bioavailibilty.

Ya I dont remember eating nearly this much when smoking weed. I took 25 mg of Hydrocodone the other night and felt a very nice rush and was nodding nicely. I felt warm and care free. Very happy. Was good times. So I got high off of the norcos. And I didnt itch when I took them. They where 5 / 325 I believe.

Might try plugging the dilaudid again.
