Opioids hydromorphone help

hi all. i have a pretty decent tolerance. i've taken hydromorphone 8s a handful of times in the past. never seems to effect me all that much. i seem to have better luck snorting than eating. late last night at 1am i ate 8mg which did NOTHING!!! its now 10am, i got a few hours of sleep and im at work and im sick as hell with bronchitus and a headache and i have one more 8mg. would i be safe to re dose? i NEVER re dose that soon with anything, but i wasnt sure if it would be ok or not since the previous dose 9 hours ago did nothing. if so, should i snort or eat it? thanks all!!!!
 
btw my doc is methadone, and my usual dose of dones is 40-45mg if that helps with understanding my tolerance. i cant seem to find much on the half life of hydromorphone. im finding everywhere between 2 and 9 hours! however, ive also found that 7.5mg of hydromorphone is equal to 30mg of morphine which is NOTHING to me...im just sketched out...any advice?
 
How often do you take methadone? Methadone reeks havoc on your tolerance, as well as having a blocking affect against other opiates. And your much better off snorting hydromorphone than eating it, bioavailability is something like 30 % for oral and 50% for nasal. You should be fine to redoes, if your worried start with a half wait a bit then the other half if needed.
 
i take dones whenever i can get em! actually the past week i havent had any, but the 3 weeks prior to that i was dosing an average of 35-45mg of dones every other day. totally jacked up my tolerance! i actually did what u suggested already. i ended up snortin half bout 30 mins ago. feel a bit, not much. i think imma go balls deep and snort the other half.
 
btw my legs have felt kinda weird all day. kinda a numb yet painful feel. what are the symptoms i should watch for for overdose, and how long would it take to set in?

You're not going to overdose from that dose, and in fact I doubt it would even get you high. You are probably experiencing withdrawal symptoms since that dose of hydromorphone is lower than your usual dose of methadone, and since it leaves your system way faster than the methadone is causes shorter more heightened withdrawals than with methadone (unless you are on methadone for a while and then stop, in which case the withdrawals are just as bad as any short acting opioid, plus last longer).

Snorting 2mg of hydromorphone is equal to around 3.5mg of methadone (2mg oral hydromorphone = 2.5-3mg of methadone, but with the 20% increase in BA from snorting it the dose is equal to a bit more methadone).
