Opioids Hydromorphone. Can't find an answer to this question anywhere

Hello all. I think I'm posting this in the correct section(I hope). I may as well get straight to the question. I have in my possession a glass vial with hydromorphone( dilaudid). Since I don't feel comfortable using needles I'm hoping it will still be fairly bioavailabile if I were to plug it? Since I'm aware taking it oral is a huge waste. With no real knowledge I would assume there's no reason why it wouldn't work plugging it, but I can't find any threads talking about the subject. Any input would be awesome. Thank you.
