Opioids HydromorphContin Question (ORAL use)

Hey all tou BLers! ;) Mods I am not sure if I posted this in the right forum, so feel free to move if it doesn't belong here, my apologies in advance.

Well I am going to be withdrawing from OxyContin for a second time this time. Last time I withdrew I was in a rehab facility where they have gave small amounts of Valium + Clonidine every 4-6 hours for about 4 days or so, and then the rest just toughed it out. This time my habit is not near as bad, it ranges from about 120mg - 160mg of Oxycodone a day, comapared to a 600mg Oxycodone habit I had before rehab. Now when I take my OxyContin I just chew them up and swallow.

Anyways my question is that, one of my relatives has a full bottle of HydromorphContin 6mg capsules. I tried Narcotic Converstion sites but what I am actually trying to find about how many of these 6mg hydromorph capsules I would need to take in order to equal roughly 120mg of Oxycodone (ORALLY). As I won't be shooting these or snorting the, although I might try snorting a few times. So I am just wondering, and I take the beads out of these capsules and chew them up to break the time relase, and if so, how many of these 6mg hydromorphcontin capsules would equal roughly an OxyContin 80mg, or about 120mg's of Oxycodone.

The reason is because of the ORAL bioavailability of Hydomorphone I read on wikipedia is only about 31%-50% taken orally. Where as Oxycodone is around 86% taaken orally.

I know this question might sound a bit dumb, but can anyone help me out with this?

I don't have any benzo;s, and doubt I will be using any just because I just got clean from a 5.5 year benzodiazepine habit about 6 months ago, and I don't think I want to go down that road again, I might be able to get my doctor to write me some Clonidine. He doesn't write benzo's or opiates to barely anyone but is a good doctor.
I also have some 75mg Lyrica capsules that I am prescribed - so that might help a bit with withdrawals as well.

My apologies for the long post, if anyone could give me an idea of how many 6mg HydromorphContin capsules taken orally equals 80mg of 120mg Oxycodone orally, so I can use these to taper a little better, as I am not trying to high off the hydromorph, but make my symptoms more bearable.

You can take a whole shit load of them orally and barely feel anything since their oral BA is such shite. Either snort of plug em...
 
Still though, can anyone tell me an equivalent or *roughly* how many hydropmorph contins 6mg I would need to take to make it equal to 80mg OC orally?
 
A little help

I have some experience with hydromorphone (dilaudid). I personally can get pure hydromorphone powder straight from the hospital. Like what they mix with water and put in your IV if your bone is sticking out your skin.

You can do a line of this as big as the WHITE PART of your NAIL on your index finger and be gone. That little is all you need. $20 of this powder is IMO equal to about 2 perc 30's or 60mg of oxycodone. I call it the Dilly Powder :D

Now on to your question, I have also done dilaudid pills (4mg). I was told one pill was as strong as a perc 30.... Total BS. I would say hydromorphone is about 2.5x as strong as oxycodone. So maybe 5 or so of those would be around an OC 80.

IDK what your pills are like but the ones I did were small yellow ones that were very very hard to shave with a hose clamp and the powder was like plastic in my nose. As with any opiate snort a little see how you feel, then gradually snort more and access how much more you can do. I hope this was a good first post and I hope it helps!!!

Well my only experience I snorted 12mg's and it was like doin a perc 30.

I thought you said you had 6mg ones above? Either way just do you math and pop around 36-40mg should be around the strength of an 80 maybe a bit more.

Thats all for me though and everyone is different so you have to take into account your size and tolerance which is why I would recommend doing 1 maybe 2 at a time and make sure you are cool before you do anymore you dont wanna get sick.

I would say to crush em up and parachute em so they work faster and you dont have to wait an hour to know if youre okay to pop another. Just be safe man!
 
I just read above that you have the capsule with beads inside. Im pretty sure those are timed release or extended release, that means your just getting a little over a longer period of time. You wont get faded that way. IMO crushing up the little beads and snorting them is your best bet. That way you can snort a little at at time and you can easily access how much you can do because it will work quick.
 
^ I haven't really snorted anything before actually lol except for an OC80, cause I always found I got way higher chewing Oxy's than snorting them.

I have 60 timed release 6mg hydromorphcontin and about 10 instant release Dilaudid 8mg.

I know snorting has a higher B/A, but my mom will be dispensing me the plls because I am tapering from oxy's so its going to kind of hard to snort. What if Took about 5 of the 8mg instant release orally? Anything or am i shit outta luck bro?

- Fuck the withdrawals shouldn't be that bad anyway since before I went to rehab I had a 600mg/day Oxycodone habit, and that was pretty bad because all they gave me there was about 4 days worth of Clonidine and Valium every 4-6 hours. No tapering with any opiates whatsoever. Legs hurt like a motherfucker I remember I could hardly walk. This time my OC habit I have only been using for little over 2 weeks and my habit is about 130mg-160mg of Oxycodone per day.
 
Sounds like you have some tolerance. Popping the pills are still gonna help you for sure especially the IR. You should be good man just try to take it easy on the stuff man over 100mg a day is too much. If you really wanna taper off try to get some suboxone. It actually is enjoyable and it lasts very long like over a day. Just a couple pills will last a week if you can get the 8mg take a quarter a day maybe a half. Be careful man try to stay recreational and enjoy opiates in moderation, but its easier said than done I know.
 
^ Okay I know i'm supposed to be tapering. But I just wanted to know what that Dilaudid 'high' feels like, or even just getting a minor buzz from it. I have some Lyrica to potentiate a little bit as well. As of right now, to get high on Oxy, it only takes me about 100-120mgs. Not like before where it took me 200-260mgs and I was using around 600mg/day 8(

So my mom is dishing these out to me tomorrow, so if she dishes me out 3 dilly 8mg's so 24mg's of hydro, do you think i'll be able to get anything out of this orally? or would snorting be better?

I've also been on Suboxone in the past at the Opiioid Dependency Centre here. I live in Canada, so Suboxone is VERY rare here still, and only two doctors prescribe it in my City and there are extreme waiting lists its insane, I hate living here but can't do anything about it right now..

Anyways, about the 24mg's of hydromorph IR tomorrow, will I be able to get a mild buzz at all?
 
Personally, I would snort them. IDK what yours are like, but i recommend a hose clamp (if you did 80s you gotta have one) because the ones i had were pretty hard. You should feel pretty good off three. I would just blow down one at a time in a couple lines.

Sorry about the shitty situation man, but anyways you should feel pretty good off 24mg I hope maybe try to get one more.

One more thing actually do a google search on "DXM lowers opaite tolerance"

I have not tried this yet, but from what I have read from multiple sources is that 30-60mg of DXM (dextromethorphan) about an hour before you do opiates greatly increase the effects of the opiate. Make sure you get the pills that only have DXM as the active ingredient nothing else!

I plan on trying this in a few days maybe when I can get some of the dilly powder and not these bullshit OP 80's.
 
Wow, I only got dished out 4 6mg hydropmorphcontin (the pink capsules) that were left over from my grandma's surgery, and since I really don't like fucking with anything else except snorting sometimes when its in 'tablet' form, I took these orally. Barely any relief from w/d symptoms but I guess they were better than nothing. I need to tell my mom to dish my out a few Dilaudid 8mg's a long with the HydropMorphContin (Extendend Release) 6mg pink capsules. That might be a little better than as I could snort the 8mg's.

I was feeling pretty damn shitty and my face was burning up until my brother just brought me home two OxyContin 80mg's. I just did 120mg of Oxy (chewed) and I'm feeling MUCH better, not really super high or anything, just MUCH much better. :) Although I shouldn't be doing this If I want to get off opiates again, I think I might just get some more Oxy's tomorrow and get high one LAST TIME, and then just taper off with those dilly's that my mom has. :D

Everyone has their own opiate or opioid of choice, but if I ever had major surgery or had a chronic pain problem I would definately prefer Oxycodone (OXY-IR-20mg) the ones we have in Canada here, a nice bottle of 500 of those 2x a month would do me good! ;) Hydrocodone would probably be my second choice, since it comes in Canada with no APAP, that or Fentanyl. But IMO, Oxycodone still takes the cake for best opioid! =D

Each to their own though.

This isn't a spam post, this is advice from someone who has been in the same place as you: Don't do it, you'll end up hating yourself for it. It sucks, yeah, but if you get high again, it is going to suck more.
