I've used opiates off and on for years, as well as many other drugs. But I've been using opiates fairly heavily and steadily for roughly the past 2 years now. I use mostly OC's and Dillies, but I also use morphine and demerol etc. when I can get my hands on them. I average about 80-160 mg OC and/or 32-40 mg Hydro daily. Needless to say, my tolerence is high and I'm not really getting the effects I'm looking for anymore. Basically Im just maintaining feelings of normalcy.

My main methods of injestion have been oral, insufflation and rectal, respectively, depending on which drugs Im using. For example, I will snort or eat my OC's and I will typically plug my hydro's and morphine.

Im thinking about injecting. I have one 8mg hydro left, and want the most bang for my buck. I have no experience using needles. I have no desire to stick anything into my veins. But I am seriously considering muscleing/skin popping.

Soo... How effective is this? How safe is this? What are the risk factors? What would be a good starting dose for someone with my level of tolerence? Would this be a total waste? Best methods of injection? I WILL NOT be sticking anything into my veins.
Suggestions and advice are more than welcome. Feel free to share personal experiences and stories, and personal preferences.

Thanks in advance :)

SC and IM injections lend themselves to infected abscesses and lots of pain if you don't know what you're doing. It's likely not going to be worth it at all. (Ever had a painful flu shot or vaccination? Those are IM shots.)

Leave the needles alone if you don't want to IV. Risks include all the normal ones (infection, pain and tissue damage, etc) and then some additional ones on top of it normally only associated with missed shots (abscesses). And since it's not IV there's no benefit of fast onset.

But will I acheive a stronger high on a lower dose of medication? Does SC/IM injection require less of the drug in question to acheive better results?

Yes (from what I remember IM injections are usually around 90% BA, SC slightly less), but it's not worth it, especially if you don't perform SC/IM injections regularly.

If you want to avoid infection at least have someone like a trained nurse or a diabetic administer your shot.

What about smoking them? I've heard so many mixed results about smoking pills. Never tried smoking any opiates aside from heroin. Can you smoke dillies? Does it work? I know a guy who smokes his OC's and refuses to do them any way other than smoking, while I know another guy who's tried it and refuses to ever smoke them saying its a complete waste. Lol.

So, is smoking hydro an option?
