I have a lot of experience with opiates (mainly hydrocodone and oxycodone)I was prescribed oxycodone 5/325 for an atv accident in whch I broke my c-1 vertabrae in my neck. And a dirtbike accident in which I received oxycodone 10/325. I have used both hydrocodone and oxycodone (self medicating) probably more than most people. A have chronic back pain and I finally found a doctor who will prescribe a 19 year old narcotics. I am now taking hydrocodone 5/325 6 a day. Before now I had never really used hydrocodone on a daily basis bc obviously oxycodone is stronger. Does any other experienced opiate users feel like oxycodone really gives you that warm feeling but hydrocodone kind of just makes you tired? To me hydrocodone seems more like codine than oxycodone. Is this just bc I have built a considerable tolerance to hydrocodone due to the fact that I am prescribed 6 a day? It seems like before I could take a couple of my Norcos and still get a warm feeling but now it doesn't matter how many id take I never feel "high" just more tired. I've even done CWE to take up to 6 (a whole days dose) at once and still nothing compared to even 5mg of oxycodone. What's going on?

Take your meds as prescribed & you should be so lucky to get these meds at such s young age......

I know you want to get that warm fuzzy high feeling but the most important thing is controlling your pain & not getting high.

When I take 20mgs of norcos, I don't get high unless I mix them with domsd but my point is, even when I don't mix anything with the norcos, the 20mgs still takes away my pain.

Hydro 5mg doesnt work on me either,i assume its from tolerance since i see a pain doctor and take meds that are much stronger.I do know someone who said the first time they had been prescribed hydrocodone that it did nothing for the pain,i think he had said it was a natural tolerance and the only thing that worked for him was when the doctor he was seeing prescribed him percocets.

I'm not trying to catch a buzz from my meds I was wondering if that's what it feels like to hve a tolerance to somthing or if that's just how they differ
