Howdy fellows, first off allow me to state that this site has provided much useful information to myself and some folks I know personally, and for that you all have my sincerest thanks.
Now to get at the heart of the matter in question: I am rx'd Norco (hydrocodone) for a spinal injury and have an appointment with the doc on Monday in which I will have to give a urine sample to check that I am taking my meds correctly. Usually this is not a problem, although a broken tooth has caused me to exceed the dosage slightly there-by facilitating running short of meds by almost a week. I had one saved to take the night before said appointment although I just ingested it thirty minutes ago. Now, throughout the internet I've searched for urine screen detection times of this compound (with a few differing results based on age [33], weight [147lbs], health [so-so], tolerance [fluctuates], metabolism [fairly high], etc).
My question is, by now, obvious: How long would/should hydrocodone (or any of its active/inactive metabolites) remain detectable for in a urine sample? Mind you I just took my last dose within the hour, and my dr appointment is on Monday afternoon. Also, I have been consuming small quantities of red grapefruit juice over the last few days as I've read that can help slow its (hydrocodone) metabolism.
Thank you Bluelighters for any and all information you can help me with. And keep up the good work!!
