Opioids Hydrocodone tolerance?

Hello all. I just registered here and am curious about something. I recently(like a few days ago) started experimenting with hydrocodone. I first took 2 and a half pills of some 5/500 Vicodin. I sort of felt a buzz, but I wasn't sure if it was a placebo effect or not. And so I've been experimenting now with some Norcos(10/325) and it takes me 4 of them(so 40mg of hydrocodone) to get that "good" feeling of nodding off and whatnot. Why is this? I've never experimented with any other opiates before so why do I have such a high tolerance? it really sucks because I really like the high, but having to take 40mg to get high sucks.

I know I can't really lower it, but is there a reason that I have such an excessive tolerance to hydrocodone? my friend uses hydrocodone and he only needs to take 30 mg to start nodding and he's been taking it for 3-4 months now.

Sorry notshooked but there is no real answer here. You just happen to have a high natural tolerance. You can try other opioids which you might be more sensitive to but it is likely your tolerance will be proportional.
