How could you extend a hydrocodone high? Tried snorting, parachuting, drinking, and taking them in halves. Also eating/drinking less seems to extend and make the high much more enjoyable. Is there anything else you could do? Also best consumption technique?

Honestly, if you want a longer high, you might just have to take a slightly larger dose. Hydrocodone is not a long acting opioid, there are others that provide for a longer high. Take them orally, whole or not.

You're chasing something that really isn't there. Obviously some people are affected differently by drugs. My wife can take one 5mg vicodin and be knocked out. But that's not really a high anyway. Don't snort them, don't IV them. Take them orally and enjoy the warm feeling. But that's probably as high as you're going to get.

I assume these are the 10-325 norcos. Just be aware of how much apap you're taking in. Your liver will not be your friend if you chase a high by adding more and more pills to your current dose.

I don't know what these people are talking about, but there's a way to make it longer for sure. The anti-acid medicine called Tagamet (cimetidine) affects the liver in a way that slows down the break down of many recreational drugs like opiates and benzos. Back in the day i'd take tagamet an hour and a half before I dosed my hydros or oxys. It'd make the high last longer than normal. I've also heard that white grape fruit juice works as well.

Look into it for more information.

edit: the best absorption method for hydros with acetaminophen is orally. Snorting is horrible for your sinuses, and NEVER shoot pills with shit like that in them.

Approximately 60% of hydrocodone is metabolized via CYP2D6 to hydromorphone and CYP3A4 to norhydrocodone. Cimetidine will inhibit both and while hydrocodone itself has some activity, it is probably not something you want to do. Use this chart http://www.bluelight.ru/vb/threads/191439-Awesome-CYP-450-Chart! and take something that inhibits CYP3A4 (like grapefruit juice) and something that induces CYP2D6 (only one I know off the top of my head is a shot of booze) to get the best results.

You could also delve deeper into the research for the 40% that isn't P450 and see if you could inhibit that with additional competing substrates at whatever the phase II mechanism is.

My doctor claims taking tramadol in between hydrocodone doses will extend its effects. Occasionally seems to be the case for me however not enough to make any solid conclusions. Anyone else heard of or experimented with this?

^They are both mu-opioid agonists so ummm yes. It's like asking if drinking beer in between shots of whiskey will extend the effects of the whiskey. :/

Haha I understand that, it was more of a question of its success among others.. i've personally not experienced any effects to the point of going out of my way to take both. I appreciate the analogy though.
