Hydrocodone redosing (noob) question

Only recently found Hydrocodone enjoyable, when I got this prescription for temp mouth pain.

My tolerance is still zero/very low.

This morning: After a nice breakfast (otherwise I get nauseous), I took 7.5mg (along with my regular 2mg Xanax XR and Multi-B vitamin complex)

Come up is always a little weird for me, but then I felt great for several hours. I had several cups of coffee and strong tea with it. Seems to mix well with caffeine.

Then later I took another 5mg/500apap, which is still in my system but I didn't quite feel the pleasant opiate high I was experiencing in the morning/early afternoon.

My question is there a point for me trying to re-dose tonight? It's a pretty mellow night, nothing going being Christmas and I wouldn't take more than 7.5 more. I know that's a decent amount of APAP but not even up near the 4,000mg. I have a feeling it might just make me feel all fucked up and make me pass out at 8pm (happened the first day I got the prescription and took 15mg - too much for me), instead of having the positive, energetic high I got from 7.5 in the morning.

I just don't know much about how vicoden's receptors and opiates in general.... I am the type who likes feeling energetic and clearheaded, rather then all fucked up and nodding off...

I did some searching but I found conflicting reports with people both saying it was stupid/ineffective to redose on Hydro in the same day, and other's saying that it wasn't.

Redosing just isn't as effective, it won't keep that high from the first dose going, just keep you moderately sedated. Its pain killing ability is still effective, just doesn't produce that original high. My experience.

Usually I'd take just a little more than I had taken earlier once the effects had diminished at like 4 hours. It just makes your tolerance go up, though

I used to be able to redose when I could use hydrocodone.. with no problem. If I try to get high twice in one day... the second time I normally take a little more than I did earlier in the day to get back there.

Everyone is different.. some people find redosing find while others find it pointless. It worked fine for me, I could keep myself high for 24 hours.

i would just take take two 7.5mg, or one 7.5mg and a 5mg. i doubt that would be bad as your not going over the APAP limit and Hydrocodone isnt a "real" strong opiate.

IME redosing on Hydro is a hit or miss. i use to eat tabs everyday to avoid withdrawl before i got on sub. sometimes id get a buzz if i took more after my initial dose, and sometimes id feel sick. mostly sickness in higher doses.
