hydrocodone & morphine dosage question

Iwant to get high on morphine and hydrocodone what's a good dosage?
 
Those dosages are way too high for a non-tolerant person ptr.


Cat01 what is your tolerance?
If you have none I'd try 15mgs of each together and see how you feel. Oral morphine seems to have about the same potency as hydrocodone.

There is one fix dosage you can find about morphine which is 10 mg or 1 ml IV. Or 1 pill 10 mg.
That´s what you would normally get in ER.
But that´s not as simple. Here is not a hospital and you´ll need to provide more info about your tolerance.
How you plan to administer, etc, etc.
 
If you are not addicted to opiats/opioids and need them for pain managment, then I would strongly advice you to reconsider taking these drugs in order to get high.
Not only are you, statistically speaking, more likely to end up addicted than if you didn't have physical pain to deal with on the side, but tolerance development are your worst enemy! You might end up having to take rather large doses just to get the pain relief, without the high, so yeah, reconsider, for your own sake.
 
^Truth. But if you're going to do it anyway and you haven't a tolerance PLEASE do not use the aforementioned recommended dosages.

I have a hell of a tolerance and take 140mg hydrocodone to get high. 45mg morphine gives me a decent rush. With none, these will kill you. If, however, you choose to continue with your plan:

Start with 10-15mg hydrocodone or 10mg morphine (IV) or 20ish (oral). But yes, it's super easy to get addicted. And remember that you can always do more but you can never do less.

Yeah, I definately agree that those doses are too high for a non-tolerant individual. That being said, Im actually quite surprised that you get a decent rush from 45 mg Morphine with a tolerance. Are we talking IV? I only have 2 experiences with Morphine and both were very disappointing. I once took 30 mg oral with close to zero effect while 20 mg of Oxycodone gets me good and high, 30 mg is like, well, the best feeling i know of, 40 mg (spaced out) were pushing it.
I don't have any tolerance to opiats/opioids and never had btw.

Yes, IV. Usually the liquid stuff. I'll usually do 60-90mg IV if I can fit that into one shot, but I have done 45 before and actually felt a decent rush. Oral morphine does nothing for me.

This is way too much for a non-tolerant individual, especially a small one. A person could theoretically die from this much hydrocodone.
If you don't like it, you may have a problem metabolizing the hydrocodone into hydromorphone which is an issue some peoples' bodies have.

I am not naive about this you jerk!! I have peripheral neuropathy and sometimes the pain is more than I can take so I wanted to know what a safe dosage was so that I could increase meds from time to time when I'm hurting. Screw you and your stupid forum!!
 
Cat, opiate naive = a person with no opiate tolerance. You didn't say what your tolerance is like?
In order to give you reasonable advice, we need to know this.

Wow, yeah, he meant do you have an opiate tolerance. We need to know what dosage you're already taking, as if you're already taking so much you can increase so much, but if you have no tolerance that much would be very dangerous. But you're probably already gone, taken offense to something and not waiting around to get a real answer to your question.

Thats not true, and not in line with HR, you dont know his tolerance and to say 45 or dissappointed makes people feel they have to take that much. My tolerance gets up to 100mg oxy or morphine/comparabile doses, and when i let it get down even a week for me and 20-40mg can have me feeling good. Everyones different.

And OP no ones judging you we just need more info to safely give you advice I know people that can get off from 15mg intranasal morhpine and that to me seems impossible to knowing ones limit is very important. Even being very used to opiates when I accidently take too much or the dose is too high for my current tolerance its not fun.
 
If your opiate naive and are 130-155 lbs, start out with 15mg of hydro. Morphine oral more or less is Hydrocodone oral.

If you are IV'ing, take a lower dose.

To be honest I'd experiment by taking like 7.5mg of hydrocodone to start. If you don't feel much of anything then up your dose to 15. The overly low dose of 7.5 is just to get an idea of how you will react to the stuff. My brother took a 5mg and we found out he isn't compatible with opies lol. Spent the whole day over the toilet.
