Hey guys I have a question on how much 5/500mg hydrocodones i should take. The thing is, it's my first time doing hydrocodone, i havent had any experience with opiates either. I wegih around 95 lbs and i'm 4'10. If anyone could help me find a good dosing that would be much appreciated. I'm trying to get a good high but i'm not trying to get fucked up or anything.

try just one or two than wait an hour or 90 minutes DO NOT dose more till enough time goes by for the pills to start working, assess from there.

What does it feel like? I'm taking them and watching Wreck It Ralph in 3d lol.

You are safe to take 2-3 of them and that's a good starting dose. I recommend taking it with a glass or two of water, and then eat about an hour later as you may be experiencing some nausea by that time. I wouldn't bother re-dosing if you don't get high. I would just take another pill the next time you want to try it so that the dose is a little higher.

Edit: What does it feel like? It's not going to make the movie better really. It's not like a psychedelic or weed. It makes you feel warm and just feel better. It makes me more talkative and love my friends more so I usually end up calling a bunch of them up and being super nice to them. Of course it can have the opposite effect and just make you tired and sedated.

^^This...

It can also make you a bit irritable. For some reason, the -codones make me edgy and pissy.

Thanks! One last question, is it controllable? Like I won't randomly laugh at the stupidest things and i'll be able to act normal?

The only part that isn't controllable is if it has you nodding out (eyes closing from sedation, slower slurred speech) or itching a lot. But as far as behavior goes it's not that hard to hide, and you definitely won't be laughing at stuff. I think you have the wrong impression of this drug, but I guess you will find out soon enough.

I'd recommend taking 10 mg for your first time, considering you are totally opiate-naive, and are quite small. You could, if you wanted, though, take 15 mg - just expect the possibility of some opiate side-effects, which can usually be relieved by lying down. I usually recommend 15 mg for someone with no tolerance, so you could go there, but it MIGHT be a bit strong for your taste, even though opiates, on the whole, are subtle drugs when it comes to euphoria, and not so "in your face". So 10 mg - 15 mg, while relaxing (doing nothing active), should be perfect. If nauseated, lie down - it works wonders for opiate-induced nausea.

I would say 2 for the first time if trying it recreationaly, but i did 3 my first time and i was flyin! that lasted a good time of doin it too before tolerance really built up noticeably. even now i only do 4 recreationaly but it feels nothing like my first time. but that drugs for you ;)

My honest opinion. DONT EVEN GET STARTED.FLUSH THEM DOWN THE TOILET OR SELL THEM. An opiate habit is something you DO NOT WANT TO HAVE AND THAT YOU COULD TAKE TO THE BANK.
Good Luck.

I can honestly say that when I first started taking hydrocodone, 5mg was enough to get me nicely high for about 1 1/2 hours or so, and I weigh more (150). I was prescribed 10/660 vicodins and I could split one and be fine. This tolerance level seemed to last several months before it began to escalate dramatically. Don't push this level because once that tolerance builds it never seems to go back down. Now I am prescribed 5 perc 10s a day and the only time I can catch a high is if I take 3 or 4 at a time, and even that doesn't last very long. But I will for sure feel like complete shit if I run out. That's why not picking them up at all is indeed great advice...I would give anything to not be a slave to these damned pills!

Uncontrollable effects for me include a VERY itchy nose and a mouth that refuses to shut up. Pain pills give me energy along with the euphoria, which is why I feel like I need them to get through my days at work and such.

Hope you can enjoy without traveling down the path of serious opiate addiction.

You said you were able to get high off 5mg hydrocodone for several months...damnn some people are very lucky. My first time opiate dose was 15mg oxycodone which after trying about 5 times didnt even get me as high.
Some people like you, are so lucky when it comes to tolerance with opiates and even only needing such a low dose, just shows how different people are.

Yeah, it was weird that my tolerance stayed low for such a long time before it began its geometric progression upward. It damned sure is wayy up there now!

I was the same way, but with a slightly higher steady tolerance. 2-4 of the 7.5mg hydrocodone pills kept me high for almost a year, and then one day they just stopped getting me high, and I needed up to 8 pills to get a decent high, and that only lasted a little while before even higher doses only gave me a slight buzz.

I had a good run of being able to get high off of a max dose of 30mg, but once that was over there was no looking back. I was glad to have made it that long with being able to get high off of roughly the same dose, but after that I became 'bulletproof' to hydrocodone as me and some other friends who experienced the same thing referred to it [not being able to get high off of any dose of hydrocodone]. I'm sure that doses of over 100mg would have gotten me high, but it was not economically viable.

I would just like to say that while hydrocodone is generally a very mild narcotic, overdose scenarios do exist - especially when combined with other centrally acting depressants. For your body weight and other specifics you mentioned, 1 or 2 tablets would be a great starting point. Wait a half hour or so, and if you don't feel anything, take a third. After that, I would wait at least an hour before deciding to take another. Definitely don't go over 4 (20 MG).

Something else to consider is the paracetamol content. Anything over 4 grams can cause severe hepatic impairment (liver failure). When taking recreation doses of hydrocodone/APAP or oxycodone/APAP stay alert for signs of liver damage. The most notable symptom is yellowing of the eyes, known as jaundicing. Symptoms of liver damage may not present immediately, so if you do accidentally (or intentionally) take more than 4000 MG (8 x hydrocodone/APAP 5-500 tabs) you should go to the emergency room for treatment with acetylcysteine - which just so happens to be a drug used to treat respiratory conditions.

No matter what you decide, make sure to do plenty of research and have a friend with you just in case something goes wrong. A narcotic overdose is easily treated, but you can't get that treatment if you are unconscious or dead

It's her first time using vicodin, 5 mg should make for a great buzz. You guys remember when we were "opiate beginners?"

Made me nostalgic as hell, to be honest. I have VERY fond memories of taking 5mg of hydro as an afternoon "treat" while I was recuperating from my first surgery 7 years ago. It made my ordinary recuperative activities...watching TV, working a jigsaw puzzle, playing a computer game....SO much more fun for the rest of the afternoon. I think that my run of beginner's tolerance was the tool that cemented my love of opiates. Then one day it was gone....not the love of opiates of course, but that wonderful low tolerance and maximum enjoyment. Sigh.....

I'm sure that doses of over 100mg would have gotten me high, but it was not economically viable.

Truer words have not been spoken, my friend:)
