How long does a person have to take opiates, specifically hydrocodone, to experience withdrawals when stopping? I realize it can very depending on the amount (I think it is approximately 3 weeks of daily therapeutic use before withdrawals happen when stopping) but let's say a person takes 2 40mg pills of hydrocodone (compounded without the tylenol) a day; how many days in a row can a person do this without experiencing withdrawals? Any stories or experience with this opioid would be helpful.

Thanks!

As little as 3 days for psychological addiction.

Physical withdrawals takes a little longer... I think it's about 21 days. It'll vary per individuals though.
