Hydrocodone dosing question

So essentially it's been almost 2 yrs since I had opiates. I'm gettin some hydro 750's. Would 2 b too much to start with? I'm sure my tolerance has really dropped.

Also if I take just one and it does nothin will redosin increase it or is it not like one of those meds? Also how long to wait to redose?

Are they the 5s or 10s? I mix benzos and opiates all the time and the only bad thing that ever happens is I'll fall alseep.
 
Yeah what's the dose of hydrocodone?

I personally don't have a lot of luck redosing hydrocodone but with a low tolerance you may be different.
 
If it were me, I'd take 2 and wait an hour, if nothing, try 2 or 3 more. That's just what *i* would do, by you don't remember when you started out taking them before how you felt? Every person is different. Haha, I'd love to have no tolerance again & have to worry if 2 vics were too much.
 
Yeah I took 3 7.5/750's (750 apap I think but def 7.5 hydro) n notta. this blows. guess tolerance doesn't drop. It's been an hr or more so gonna try another.

u kno what else sucks? Tryin to type on my galaxy s3! lol

PS: anyway to potentiate it? Only got hydroxyzine, outta benzos. Also have gabapentin.
 
Gabapentin helps potentiate for me. I have very little experience with it, but I get noticeable effects from 900 mg.
 
i use gabapentin and phenibut to potentiate. phenibut + 7.5 - 20 mg of hydrocodone will actually have me nodding, and i've taken hydrocodone for about ten years off and on.
 
Since you don't seem to be having much luck today, maybe next time you try to dose do a CWE and take 4 or 5
 
You really should never exceed 1g APAP in a 6 hour period. Horrible for liver. If you do this, take some mike thistle. If you break 3-4g in a day, or especially a single dose, take NAC which is OTC and what they give you in ER to reverse liver toxicity from APAP.
 
Yesss gabapentin definitely enhances it. I love that stuff, I've noticed if I take it several days in a row that I have to increase the dose by one capsule but it sure does the trick. Gabapentin alone for going thru wd does a fantastic job and almost take wds away completely (again, for me).

I took the gaba with 3 - 5's today. Been bout an hour n just feel "happy". But I've been in a good mood lately anyway lol.

Gettin some alprazolam bars tonight. Will do a cwe n try with those.

Thanks everyone for the great advice! Especially about liver issues and otc meds to help!
 
Yeah, a few years ago when I had a script for 100 - 7.5/325 vics (that were refillabe every 10 days), I was naive about how much APAP would hurt my liver. I figured the 4 gram limit was what the safest max amount you could take but that if I took more I'd be ok.. my 100 would be gone in 2-3 days and man, I'd have the worst cramps in my stomach as well as nausea that would be so bad, I'd feel my mouth water & couldn't even make it 15ft to the bathroom to throw up. I'm not one of those people that vomits often or easilly but I threw up like crazy then. I'm really lucky I didn't kill myself from all that tylenol, so for real, take the least amount you can unless you can successfully do a CWE. I always knew that CWE's could be done but thought it was impossible/too hard for me to do it without ending up wasting my pills. Anyway, to wrap up my blabbing, be cautious of ur APAP intake.. its not worth the risk. I've heard that od'ing on it is absolutely god awful. (:

I'd like to point out that just because nothing bad has happened yet, it's very risky to operate under a false sense of security. Mixing CNS depressants in general is risky business. You really want to avoid this if at all possible. If you must proceed it's essential that you are tolerant to BOTH substances you are taking, and dose lower on both than you would if taking them alone.

Yes, sometimes you fall asleep, then there's that nasty chance respiratory depression sets in and you just don't wake up. It does happen. :(
