Thanks for all the responses. My liquid always, always comes out yellow, or white, depending on the color of the pills. I do squeeze the coffee filter, because if I just let it sit and have gravity do the work, it takes ages..I've let it sit for 15 solid minutes and get nothing more than a few drops thru. In fact, last night I questioned how coffee brews as timely as it does lol.
Questions:
Last night after performing a CWE on some 10/325 hydrocodones, I didn't feel up to taking my last shot. I just let it sit in the fridge overnight. When I woke up this morning to take it, there was some white sediment on bottom. Any clue as to what this could be? Today I mixed up some water and crushed codones, but didn't get around to filtering it before i left to run some errands. The solution had a good couple hours to sit and settle, and upon arriving home, I noticed this same white sediment, in about the same amounts. What could this be? Since it was present in both the pre- and post-filtered solutions, this leads me to believe it is not tylenol and could be filler?
What is the proper amount of water to use per 10mg pill? Or should you base the water quantity on the amount of tylenol you're attempting to extract? The last couple times I've done the process, I've used a little more water than usual thinking it wouldn't have any negative effects and would cause the solution to mix a little better (not as much sediment on the sides of the bottle). It was about a quarter of the water bottle full. The filter seemed to catch about the same amount of tylenol as usual. Thanks for your suggestions.
EDIT* On second thought, it does in fact seem the amount of water directly affects how much tylenol is filtered out. I used quite a bit of water this round for whatever reason and only got a few tiny little chunks of tylenol caught in the filter (from [3] 10/325 yellows). It wouldn't have to do with the fact that I let it sit in the fridge (not freezer) for a few hours, would it?
