Hydrocodone + Alcohol

I know people say this is a bad combination for your liver, but I thought it was only because of the Tylonel that's usually in hydrocodone.

I have a brand called Hycodan that's pure hydrocodone with nothing else.
Is this ok to mix with alcohol?

Hycodan is not pure hydrocodone.

It has Homatropine in it as well, which will be a buzz kill in high enough doses.

Homatropine will make you feel sick if you are not careful.

Alcohol should boost your high, but don't drink too much.(a couple of beers.)

No....you are Canadian so the Hycodan does NOT have homatropine, only the US version of hycodan contains homatropine.
it is straight up hydrocodone bitartrate. you are good to go bro!

i know this because i have lived on both sides of the border and have had plenty of Canadian hycodan.

Pure hydrocodone and alcohol should be fine; when I was in hospital recently they were trying to tell me that any opioid plus alcohol can damage your liver but I can't find much evidence to support that and I suspect they were just lying to me to get me clean.

P.S. When I say they said it causes liver damage, I'm not talking lots of booze and opioids here, I was talking about a regular dose of opioids and moderate alcohol consumption.

Small amounts of both are okay...too much of either one (I don't mean enough to OD), even small amounts and you'll get sick --- opiates and alcohol both cause nausea. Be careful --- even if its not pure hydrocodone, if it's a one time experimentation thing the damage isn't really anything to worry about.

Personally, I wouldn't recommend this combo because, in my experience, nausea inevitably seems to ruin the fun. I have gotten nauseous every time I have combined hydrocodone+alcohol, even in amounts that would be very modest if taken individually.

But, I think it's worth noting that hydrocodone generally makes me more nauseous compared to other opiates. Maybe someone who tolerates hydrocodone better would find this a worthwhile combo.

At any rate, If you decide to do this, start small and go slow. Maybe take half your normal hydro dose, followed by a couple (i.e. 2) drinks. I would then wait at least an hour after dosing the hydro to decide if you want to have any more drinks. Also, after each drink, wait long enough so that you feel the full effects of the alcohol before considering another one (about 30min should do).

Remember, you can always take more later, but you can never take less once it has gotten into your system. Don't become another statistic, be very careful if you decide to mess around with combining depressants.

I reccomend making a fixed ratio as to balance to effects perfectly.

For every shot of 40% alcohol, take 5-10mgs of hydrocodone.
This way there is that nice laudanum feel to it.

That was just an example, measure for tolerance.
3 shots and your tolerance dose on opiates will feel at least a third stronger due to alcohol aiding the conversion of prodrug opiates(active or not) to there active or stronger metabolites and adding to the sedation and euphoria.
