Hydrocodone is such an unfortunate thing to me, man. I am among a minority of others that prefers it over Oxycodone. However, because Hydrocodone without APAP is extremely rare and almost impossible to come by, you're left without that option once your tolerance level is high enough. It's too bad, really. Back when I had very little tolerance, Oxycodone (which I got as Percocet or 15mg tablets with no APAP) was great and calming, but Hydrocodone was like its twisted cousin that did the same thing for the most part but was a little more agressive and speedy. Less passive, somehow more "exciting", would be the only way I could describe it.
Probably why I opted for Kratom a bit later instead of Oxies at a high MG count. Feels more like Hydros. Though my priority and the reason I took all that shit was for pain in the first place so I've cut down considerably over time in using opioids/opiates like that.
Anyways, yeah...don't take that much APAP. That's insane. I wouldn't say more than about 1500-2000mg a day MAX, you could easily hurt your liver. Also, I second what Calderone said. Opiates can be weird. Why is it that my friend can take Codeine and feel just the bare minimum and yet my body metabolizes it into Morphine and I feel high as fuck? Who knows.
If it's not that, the other very real explanation is that you're naive to the drug and you're not responding to and identifying the effects completely. Shit happened to me, I had to take Hydros for about seven days to really know what it was I was supposed to be feeling. That can take some time, almost nobody I've talked to really feels low level, or rather low dose opiates properly the first time regardless of how much they take.
Finally, if you have no opiate tolerance whatsoever, you DO NOT want to be taking 60mg in the first place. Take two. Maybe two and a half - 12.5 mg when it finally works is ideal, anything more than about 30 will probably make you feel sick without tolerance. Empty stomach, do not eat until you feel the effects. If you get your hands on any more, note that you really shouldn't be taking a whole lot at once with zero tolerance, not only is it not necessary but it's a waste and dangerous. Your liver will be fine but if you were to do that repeatedly it would for sure be damaged.
Though I will say that I cannot recommend hydrocodone for anything other than pain relief at this point. I mainly would recommend Kratom, not just to experienced opioid users but especially to a novice, and advise that one would stay away from prescription opiates as much as possible with the exception of explicit medicinal use.
