I was wondering if taking 8 hydrocodone 5/325 is to much acetaminophen in one dose? Or would a cold water extraction be better for this amount? This would be a one time dose. I know the acetaminophen is bad for the liver especially in large amounts. Just wondering if it is safe for one dose and no more in that 24 hour period. If cold water extraction is better do you have an easy way for a rookie doing the extraction for the first time?

The maximum daily dosage of acetaminophen should not exceed 4000 mg because it is metabolized by the liver.
At large doses it can damage our liver. And this is not good for you.

I can't respond that as everyone is different and I don't know how or if your liver is already damaged.

I'm not sure what shape my liver is in. I quit drinking about a year and a half ago. Not sure how fast the liver recovers. I smoke cannabis on a regular basis and take kratom from time to time but last I checked that doesn't harm the liver in any way. I was taking the hydrocodone for my knee and have 8 left and figured I would take them recreationally. Not sure if that amount is too small to do a cold water extraction or not? I know you lose some of the hydrocodone in the process so wasn't sure if a cold water extraction was worth it. I obviously don't want to harm my liver or end up in the ER. Sorry if this is a stupid question. I'm new to this.

Honestly I've taken 20 10/325's at once and was just fine. I did drink at least two gallons of water though, I'm not suggesting you do this.

I would say that 8 of 5/325 mg Norco is about the maximum I would take in one day. The maximum recommended dose of acetominophen per day is 3000-4000 mg depending on who you ask. I have taken 8 at once before pretty regularly. I have to get my liver function checked every 6 months because I take Lipitor and it has always been normal. If you have concerns about liver damage go to your doc and explain the situation and they can give you a script to get liver function checked (ALT/AST) by a simple blood test.
