So did a binge with percocet a while back. A 2 week thing using 70-90 mg daily( 10 mg pills) .I had a few months clean from all opiates till then. After the 2 weeks I had 3-4 days of crap, nothing like the first time I kicked, but it was very unpleasant.

Fast forward a bit. Did another 2 months clean and got a hold of a large supply of norco. ( gawd I hate it when that happens). Any ways did the chipping thing for 2-3 months going 3 days in between. but the last 2 weeks I've been messing up. 90 mg a day everyday. I thought for sure I was in for it. I'm 34 hours since I took the last dose and I seem fine. Again I know I'm pressing the envelope and I dunno know why it hasn't grabbed me yet, other than the fact that hydro just doesn't get you addicted as fast as oxy. I am tired of the hydro, and to the point that 10 pills ( 10 mg) at a time barely hits me and only lasts maybe an hour and a half. I don't want to break the 10 pill mark. So I stopped approx 34 hours ago.

I got lucky again?

Hydrocodone’s sedation and pain relief last longer than the euphoria...

I guess so. That makes it suck as a get high thing. However the oxy has been gone, I guess that's a good thing! What gets me is If I ever go the the hospital for something serious, they would never give me anywhere near enough pain med to help me.

^ you would be surprised at how much dilladid they will inject you with at a hospital. As long as your breathing and vitals are decent they will keep it up. Or it was a really good doctor that was on staff that day.

They do compensate tolerance in the hospital if it is within reason...

If not the right reason, prepare for a shitty night.

Its an they are all addicting, you are not escaping any addictions by taking one vs another. Just because they are less potent doesnt mean they wont bite you in the ass. Play with fire, get burned:-) take care now.

Hydro is less addictive imo because it is far less euphoric compared to oxy. Also redosing hydro dose not give me any more euphoria just added sedation and other stuff opiates do.

^ Agreed, this is very true from what I've read.

Also, the fact that hydrocodone in the US comes in APAP compounded formulations, from Vicodin ES, to Vicodin HP, to Norco 10/325, to Lortab 5/500, etc., meaning there is no way to rail the norcos or prepare them for IV usage safely, whereas someone can just rail an oxy IR 30mg by just crushing it up, and the faster the ROA, the more addictive a drug becomes.

Of all the opiates I've tried, Oxy caused physical withdrawal quicker than anything. Within a week of taking 1-2 Percocet 10's per day, my gf and I were both having severe anxiety and other withdrawal symptoms upon quitting. A fucking WEEK. Never saw that coming.

I find that Oxy is much easier to over-consume and doesn't cause as much nausea/sedation as hydro (for me anyway). In that sense it's much more addictive. It's also slightly more potent, which increases addiction risk a bit.

Trust me it will be in your best interest to take a good break right now. I was able to get by chipping for about a year. I also took days /weeks off, but also kept pushing the envelope, saying to my self well I'm not getting withdrawal yet.

After pushing that envelope further and further the withdrawal gets a lot more difficult. Save your self the future misery and take a break.
