I got out of the hospital for pancreatitis in early October (stupid gallbladder!) and was perscribed diladid(spelling?) 1 MG and some hydro/APAP 5/500mg for later on when the pain wasn't as intense. I finished off the hydromorphine (diaudid) in the month of October and haven't taken any of the hydros yet...So its been over two months since I have taken anything...anyway so my question is i've heard some people say it is safe to take up to 8 pills and some say its safe to take only 2. I have a killer migraine and am not in the mood to even sit and deal with it so what is safe to take...I would hope to take four but if that is too much I would rather find out here then at the hospital... Thanks guys :)

You really don't want to go over 4-5 grams of APAP (acetaminophen) in a day. That means 4 to 6 pills. Be safe!

You dont want to go over 4 grams in a day. But in all honesty, I wouldnt go over 2 grams (2000 mg) in one dose. To be completely safe, do a CWE and get rid of most of that APAP, but you said u have a migraine, so u may noy have the patience for all of that.

Hope ya feel better, peace.

4 pills will treat a migraine perfectly and 2g of acetaminophen is fine for a single dose. Just don't do that much acetaminophen everyday.

If you ever plan on taking 10 or whatever then you need to do a cold water extraction.
