I've been waking up to your smile for years and years.
This morning there was nothing cracking paint flakes from these lonely walls. Only this silence bares witness.
Philly mud runs so loud through cast iron pipes. Only the white noise of water crashing and the momentary solace it injected into my veins remains.
submerged
Water twists scarlet into golden spiral
Painting all the loving pink of my first valentine with you.
Out from the water, from the cold.
I know the razors were named friend today…for I too bore the scars of tattered veins and sadness forever as blue eyes littered with gold.
so cold.
I know your insides…
Black, white, and pink; A classic beauty.
You smiled at me through ever frosted glass
Always hiding. And once for only a moment they began to clear and I saw you for what you truly are. And you truly are.
This morning there was nothing.
Tears stream to form pools of maggots under this plastic sky.
This plastic sky
You made this distance more than miles. You made it so it hurts to smile.

this is by far my favorite thing you have ever written. i was so drawn in by your words... they just captivated me, and made me shiver here at my desk at work.
i realize that no matter how much i think i know you, i never really realized just HOW amazing you are.
i think i owe you a cup of coffee and a really long chat one of these days...
