Huge variance in DXM trips?

I realize that eating and tolerance can play a part in what you get from a trip, but I try to keep everything the same each time I trip.

I trip on DXM once or twice a month. I think it was my 4th or 5th trip I must've stepped onto another plateau because it was the most intense thing I've ever experienced. I felt like the ring girl. I was trapped in my bath tub and the walls were really high and I could climb them. That's a poor description, and for me it was amazing, and not scary. But I've never been able to recreate that trip despite taking higher doses. That night I took about 800mgs DXM via the little red gelcaps. I've waited 2 months and 3 months and taken 1000mgs but it hasn't been the same.

When I trip I can usually move down and side to side further than my mind can comprehend, but not up. That night was the only time I could fly.

What do you think?

They are never the same. As I saw somebody say on here before, with my normal dosing assuming nothing else is involved besides cannabis; "Sometimes it feels like I have drank about six beers and other times my body is just plain gone off of the exact same dose."

DXM tolerance builds with time and even though I can still trip on it, the strangeness has gone down a bit and dose required to reach extremely dissociated states has shot up.

Yeah I guess so. My trips are all pretty similar but if I'm trying to recreate a specific feeling maybe that's just too much to ask.

When I first started I just felt drunk and I told everyone that, stupidly. But I guess it's changed over time. When I trip I set out what I'm going to do and what I'm going to think about, and I think because of this the trips are getting more intense. But they're still not back to that one night...

Hey I like your Avatar btw. He is my inspiration for these controlled trips. Not that Buddha supports anything like that heh.

DXM + Mushrooms allowed me to fly.

Seriously, I felt like Goku. I could literally see the Earth getting smaller and smaller as i drifted away.

On topic though, I find that trying to recreate past trips just ends in frustration and wasted energy. Let each trip be what it will.
