UK and close to thirty years on prescription opioid meds for back pain, recurring kidney stones and scoliosis.

I went at life so hard, working 70 hour weeks fixing Citroën cars, I literally wore my body out and paid the cost.

My last episode of Fentanyl 25mcg Fencino withdrawal was another embarrassing show.
Collapsing on the floor, fully dressed, I bit my tongue so rather hard, it was hanging off.

A neat bit of diy surgery fixed that.

And then the vomiting. Pints of it. And then the 'Obliterated oesophagus and shredded stomach lining' at the hospital A&E early hours today.
Cyclizine hydrochloride injection helped. The electrolyte drip made my walk home at 2:20am possible.
Twenty minutes ago, I gave in. Tore off one patch and sucked on it.
Trying to do the mental mathematics to see if I can crawl to next Monday. Next prescription day.
I have a wife, three rescue cats and an industrial unit with enough stuff inside to sell and enable my wife to retire.
Just one last go.
The normal NHS offer virtually zero help. But they were the ones who pushed the opiods in the past.
I must've had around $45k in psychiatrist input in the last two years.
A recovery house: two young homeless men were there too. They cleared the back garden, restored a garden well and ornamental pond.
In one day!
Using old 1970's paint and tired out brushes.
Jesus Wept.
I know I did. Such skill, but nobody wants to give two 'Scallies' from Liverpool a chance. Their loss.
If I can, I will post some photos of their Magnum Opus.
I suppose I need some suggestions to relive the WDs.
I'm considering Imodium and Cyclizine, but what else.
I couldn't work out where to post this.
Thanks.

Hi and welcome, what part of the UK are you from? I don’t know anything about the UK except I recognized Liverpool as in the Beatles.
How long ago was the fentanyl incident?
Sounds like this is something recent?

Hello. I understand u have medical reason for using opioids - same. But i advice u to use less, as low as possible and try muscle relaxants - sometimes they are much better for pain ( especially combined with NSAID ).
I am on opioids for 15 years. Yes, they made me numb - to everything. Now i do detox and it hurts. But biggest problem would be quitting benzos after i end opioid detox. I won't pretend your situation in easy or ok. It Is not. But discomfort is power pushing us to make ourselves better. Use pain of wd to actually fight WD. Also, there are helpful meds like dextromethorphan, loperamide, tizanidine/clonidine and benzos - just don't create dependence to them. And weed can help too.
