Howard Stern

Anyone listen today's show when the girl who called in cuz her husband with colitis was leaving her?

One of the funniest segments of all time

I love that new parody song of "Love Hurts"

"Crew cut... huge gut
Ronnie Mund...he is nuts
'cause he thinks he looks good
in a bluuue tight shirt.."

:D

WHATS YOUR PROBLEM, MAN?!!

Did anyone catch the bit the other day with John the stutterer where he was going off on DJs and electronic music? :D

A-a-a-a-a-nd sc-sc-sc-sc-sc-ahhh ahhhhnnnnerrr-rew DJs....thhh-thhhh-thhhh-they play hooo-hooo-hoooomo music..

I tuned in to the farters on the air today.

Oddly enough - I listened to straight farts for 25 minutes on the way to work. And then again on the way home

Was today's show a rerun? The cocaine pig story was fantastic and is surely worthy of a best of reappearance.

^Oh man, thats has to be the best story ever told on that show. It was perfect. I actually had to pull over to listen, it was so goddamned funny.

i dunno, a lot of the stuff he does doesnt interest me. its not that its really offensive, its just boring. listening to interviews with dumb porn stars is just a waste of time in my opinion.

^u obviously dont know much about the show. . .(although porn star interviews are a significant part of it, esp when compared to other shows), but needless to say, the show has alot more depth than that.

i didnt say the whole show was like that. the signal to noise ratio seems quite low though.

edit: to be perfectly honest, i havnt listened to howard stern in many years

Stern was suprisingly civil to Roth today. However, there is no way that I will be listening to Roth. Why can't the east coast get Corolla too??? Might have to pony up for satellite.

heh, I about pissed my pants when he was yelling at his mom on the phone today.

and that interview with James Garner... :D

Stern rocks.. yeah that Garner interview was hilarious man.

"Cuz I'm bout to kick you right in the balls!" hahaah, I need to hear that clip again =D

Oh my!

Ok, this isn't about Stern, but Stern always talks about Sulu so:

Mr. Sulu Comes Out

by Joal Ryan
Oct 28, 2005, 11:40 AM PT

George Takei has boldly gone where no Star Trek star has gone before: He's come out.

In so many words.

"You know, it's not really coming out," Takei says in the Nov. 22 issue of the Los Angeles-based gay and lesbian magazine Frontiers (www.FrontiersPublishing.com). "It's more like a long, long walk through what began as a narrow corridor that starts to widen."

In the interview, Takei, forever Mr. Sulu of the U.S.S. Enterprise, notes that he has been "open" about his homosexuality for years--to family, and to friends. "But I have not talked to the press," he says. "In that sense, maybe that's another opening of the corridor there."

Frontiers editor Alexander Cho says Takei's camp initiated the interview with a phone call from a close friend who said the Trek icon, at 68, was ready to talk publicly about his private life.

"I think it's very important," Cho says of Takei's disclosure. "We know his influence far beyond Star Trek."

Key to the story, says Cho, who conducted the interview, is that, in the age of the gay marriage debate, Takei offers "positive images of gay couples." The actor has been in a relationship with Brad Altman, heretofore identified as "my manager" on Takei's Website, for 18 years.

When the time came for Takei to do the interview, Cho says, the sci-fi legend was "most definitely comfortable."

In the magazine, Takei likens going public with his sexuality to overcoming the "shame" he felt for having lived in Japanese-American internment camps during World War II.

"I didn't want to talk about being in an internment camp," Takei says. "They would ask me, where was I? I would say I was far away...But I never went into details."

According to Takei, his attitude changed when he learned what normal was.

"The large popular normality is that rigid, constrained normality," Takei says in Frontiers. "But there's another natural normality. And you come to realize, 'This is who I am. And by gum, I'm not going to let it be a constraint!'"

In the interview, Takei takes a swipe at fellow Hollywood denizen turned California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger. Takei calls the Terminator a "dangerous politician" for his recent veto of a state gay marriage bill.

Takei faced challenges of the intergalactic variety as the Enterprise's navigator on the original 1966-‘69 TV series. He went on to appear in the first six big-screen Trek movies.

Last seen in a Starfleet uniform on a 1996 episode of Star Trek: Voyager, Takei currently is starring on the Los Angeles stage in Equus.

Stern Suspended for Promoting Sirius Move
Nov 07 7:31 PM US/Eastern

By AMY WESTFELDT
Associated Press Writer

Howard Stern got a one-day suspension Monday after heavily promoting his move to satellite radio.

"We expect him back on Wednesday," said Karen Mateo, a spokeswoman for Infinity Broadcasting, which carries Stern's syndicated show in more than 20 markets.

She wouldn't call Stern's absence a suspension and declined to comment further. Listeners will hear a compilation of Stern's best shows on Tuesday, she said.

But Stern's spokesman Matt Traub confirmed the shock jock had been suspended, adding: "This is an act of desperation by men who are losing their once-in-a-lifetime franchise."

The action was first reported on the Howard 100 channel carried by Sirius Satellite Radio, where Stern is moving his show next year. The channel said Stern was suspended for talking too much about his impending move to satellite.

Stern announced his departure last year to Sirius, where he received a $500 million contract to begin in January 2006. Stern boasts an audience of about 12 million and revenues of about $100 million from his morning radio show. His last live radio show for Infinity is scheduled for Dec. 16.

Sirius spokesman Patrick Reilly declined to comment Monday.

What a cock sucker move by Infinity, they know they're taking it in the cornhole when he leaves so they're just making his last 20+ shows hell for him. :X I finally decided on which satellite radion to get the other day, it's just a matter of getting off my ass and driving down to circuit city to get it.

Way to go Joel, you have just opened up a wasp's nest.

Cleft Palette

Cleft Palette is my neighbor! His real name is Lynn, and he used to be called Lispy Lynn. I love those songs he does...now I know he is doing them from the apt next to me! WTF!

Haha Cleft! He cracks me up when he sings "For those about to rock - FIYAH!" =D

All this censorship nonsense has totally got me fired up about the move to Sirius. Tom being a little baby the other day when 50 cent was on really made me realize just how fast FM is going down the shitter. I really do think Howard is going to start a revolution where people will have to struggle with watching TV or listening to satellite radio for their entertainment.

If you are feeling generous and want to give back to the guys who upload the show everyday on the proboards, Mileage is THE MAN. Also, "Mutt" over on SFN is the head administrator and just bought a slammin new server for their site, Im sure donations would be nice.

"That's a hook up, riiiiiiiiight? That's gangster talk for being generous - riiiiiiiiiight?? =D

I'm about sick of Inifinity Broadcasting myself. I like his normal show on the air because I hear it out of Chicago and it's mostly unedited at that station. (I download it). Anyway, hopefully it doesn't change too much when he makes the move.

As for Tom Chiusano, I think he's a good guy and it's him getting pressured from Hollander and the higher-ups to keep Stern in check. Chiusano is always respectful and may be a boring dick sometimes, but I'd like to see him over on Satellite in some medium on the Stern show over there.

When I'm in my car or at home I pretty much have howard 100 on nonstop listening to the news.

Tissue time with Heidi Cortez is going to put me to sleep every night as well!

Long live Stern.

God bless this fucking man, he is a genius and a role model for all those who want to scream FUCK THE FCC
