How young is too young?

Personally I think 13 is too young. I took my first E at 17 and at 16 was tripping a few times a week. I definately regret starting at such a young age.
oh my FUCKING god................. this thread has been a real eye-opener for me.
yes ive popped pills, acid, wizz...........
smoked cheeber like my name was Sir Vivan "Master Blaster" Richards of the West Indies.
but i have NEVER been to a Rave as such.
(mainly cuz I need/LOVE booze even with pills)
Prefering to see skilled turntablist DJ's which are normally in clubs.
I cant stand hardcore/trance or whatever you wanna call it. its all chinese to me.
now.................... i think its a FUCKING joke that these under-age shows continue to exist with the problems that are going to arise.
(now i dont want to sound like some authority type figure....)
BUT the parents/promotors have a duty of CARE and responsibility of these CHILDREN............. and thats what they fucking are....... CHILDREN, they arn't adults who can make the right decisions. And the parents need to be held accountable
I know if they arn't poppings pills, licking trips etc etc, they will be drinking chroming or WHATEVER.
but FUCK ME, 12 year olds at raves............ that makes me so DAMN ANGRY.
you know what i would of done......... grabbed that little babies ID from her after she produced it........ went and paid the parents a VISIT and given them the biggest barrage of abuse I could muster. i tell ya, i would of been struggling to hold back PHYSICAL abuse on the old man, and i prolly WOULDN'T have held back, a swift headbutt followed with a couple of elbows no doubt.
that is just plain WRONG.
now i dont claim to be a goody doo doo, but i have fucking morals.
I wonder why the most COMMON way for men under 35 in the UK to die is by suicide.
its not by disease, accidents, murder.... its by people KILLING themselves.
and after my mate tells me what he was getting drugs for over there, its no wonder.
after a mad pillin binge i get depressed, hate everything and everyone
but i like LIVING, so ill go a few months without..... and i actually am high on life..... ill be laughing my ass off at stupid shit like i was smoking weed for the first time.
but these kids dont even fucking know what LIFE is, they come out of the womb and start pilling a few years later..........living a fantasy world where they dont even know what reality is.
i don't know what the answer is, or really what my point is. but i do consider booze to be as bad if not worse than clean pills.
i have NEVER been as sick off pills as what i have off booze
(never really had bad ones, only get them off FRIENDS)
lets face it, nicotine kills more people than pills EVER could, fucking government fuckwits makin a buck so they cool with it. And i really am for legalizing marijuana
now i really dont know where this is going so ill just end it there, and give a big

In all seriousness any reasonable person who gives drugs to a minor is engaging in gross misconduct. This is not meant to be funny, but look what happened to Gary Ablett. AFAIK Alicia Horan was under age...
Blossom and other minors please consider the person who gives you your drugs. Going down for possession/trafficking is one thing, but should anything ever go wrong, manslaughter is a whole different ball game!

I just find it so sad and scary that people so young are putting things into their bodies that they more than likely no nothing or very little about. Smart drug taking is so important and I'm sure these youngsters wouldn't even have a clue as to what it is physically doing their bodies. Like who are they getting thier drugs off? I can't imagine a 13 year old testing thier pills to make sure the contents are what they expect them to be. Can you? The people that are giving these drugs to such young kids need some serious help. I would love for thier to be an easy answer but it seems as those these problems are only getting worse.

as a kid who did it at that age. I didnt even know that i could test my drugs until 2 years after. And ur all right. none of them have a clue what the fuck they are doing. Thats why i have such a soft spot in my heart for them. I just want to look after them because ive been there!!! Give them all bg cuddles and tuck them into bed at night!

It's not a matter of young or old, it's a matter of whether or not you know what you are doing. I've met kids who know more about what they are putting into themselves than seasoned drug pigs.
As a generalisation, younger people tend to know less because they have had less time to find out and may not be able to grasp concepts so easily, perhaps if they did know what drug use is all about, then they would want to wait until later before they start using them.

I reckon its weird?(is this the right word?) how you can wait until you are 18 to have a 'comfortable' introduction to taking pills (ie in a club setting, which I think is much tamer than any rave) wheras if you start young the only thing to do is rave..... you get chucked right into the frenzy.

I was 27 before I drank alcohol for the first time, and I was 30 before I did anything worse.

Seriously though, I always have and always will be concerned about the ages of people getting involved in recreational drug taking, including alcohol, and don't get me started on smoking - I cannot believe how many young people smoke in this country!
The answers are complex, I am not sure where to start.
To Erba and the others can I just say that not all kids (in fact not all people) that go to raves take drugs, I have met many that are there for the good times and music and refuse to partake. But yes the possiblity is increased in that environment and I have to say, despite enjoying the more open parties, that all ages events are a concern.
