I was taking with my friend who just came out of his trip, he described bottles melting, "the world in a wave on his wall", the blanket was some other country and all sorts.

Whenever i try mushrooms i never get such vivd visuals. am i missing out?

do you ever trip that hard?

Some people react differently and trip harder than others... a lot of it is open to interpretation of the mind, allowing your imagination to become real...

Pretty much this.

Ive experienced visuals like that before. There's been a few times where i've been so caught up in what i was watching that id loose all sense of reality and being and become enveloped within an imaginary world of my own. I find that to be the true beauty of psychedelics.. when you can let your imagination pave your own reality. The only thing stopping most people from accomplishing this, is the fear that there 'loosing there mind'.. once you let go entirely.. the potential is infinite.

^Agreed.

For me mushrooms are less visual than LSD. I get enhanced colors, some perspective distortion and sometimes I get the illusion that I am 60 feet tall as the ground seems to be so far below.

This is nothing compared to the crazy shit I have witnessed with LSD, though.

i hallucinate so hard on mushrooms its not even funny (compared to acid..)

yea pretty much the lamps were melthing, the speakers were moving, EVERYTHING in the room was moving...like constantly. i was having fun (and scared at points) just watching shit move and dance around the room. my friend's face turned into a demon at one point when he smiled, which scared me. i was lost in my own world, my friends realized that, and i luckily was able to realize that they realized that (lol). so i was completly fine and fun having these hallucinatinos

also the tv all this shit was growing everywhere. like in icarly (it was on) it literally was not the same at all. the things they were wearing were constantly changing, like one second they are wearing a white shirt next second its pink and they have a straw hat and trees growing on the screen. my friend i saw him w/ a cowboy's hat once. and my friend also looked like he was bleeding

it was only 2 times out of the 3 times i did shrooms i got these heavy hallucinations (they were 1/8 dose and 1/16 dose (they both brought same amount of hallucinations). i sorta thought when i do half an eight it wouldnt be so bad, but i was really wrong. the first time i did shrooms wasnt that visual (1/3 of an eight). maybe it was the dose, and what i expected

maybe if u go into it w/ less anticipation, and maybe a higher dose (1/8 should be enough..), and dont try to fight it, u will see them. i saw so much shit those two nights, really unforgettable. and not to mention what i saw when my sober friend drove us around town...oh my god. housing stretching in every direction, everything constantly changing in my mind really fast. w/ The Doors playing loudly in the background :D

sorry for un-proofread and sloppy post

I believe it depends very much on dosage and the ability to let your mind go. If you're grasping at straws trying to keep reality in check, chances are that a lot of the energy that would be being put to use by your imagination will be diverted towards keeping that stranglehold on reality. In terms of dosage: on small amounts (~1g) it feels to me like a very strong cannabis high with some color enhancement; moderate doses (~1.5-2.5g) give me some slight patterning, fascination with reflection (puddles take on a life of their own, almost like a tv screen), warping and wavy effects, slight deconstruction of objects/faces (kind of like an abstract painting) where a face will be more like a compilation of lines and differently colored shapes that don't fit together quite right, and a general mood lift and confusion; higher doses (~3.5-4.5g) everything previously mentioned, plus everything seems to take on a life of it's own, couch fabric will resew and repattern itself, paint will begin to flow and paintings will come to life, everything will begin to breathe and flow and sometimes even try to communicate (the communal bathroom on my hall at my old college turned into an orchestra whilst empty; sinks, showers, and toilets were turning themselves on and off in perfect timing to create some beautiful music), things change in size and shape, confusion is immense; large doses (~5-7g) everything previously mentioned, but in addition, at least in my experience, it seems as though you can merge with other things around you: I felt what it was like to be a tree and saw how much my surroundings had changed in the hundreds of years I'd stood stationary, and I spent some time as the wind moving the clouds about to create new formations. It's also possible at this kind of dosage to have serious changes in perspective, especially when it comes to size, I've felt simultaneously taller than the trees but shorter than the grass, I also felt as though I was standing right next to the moon at one point, during another trip I saw the inside of my house as though I was 4 or 5 years old again, everything looked monstrous in comparison to how it usually looks.

Good luck with your future trips, just keep an open mind, let the shrooms take your mind where they want to, and don't be afraid to up your dosage (provided you're in a safe place to trip). Have fun! =D

more visual than mescaline. haven't tried real acid to compare.

I think it's hard to compare. I would say that LSD and 2C-B, for example, are just as visual as mushrooms (for me) but in a different way. On 2C-B, for instance, I often see intricate coloured patterns and symbols which can almost take over my entire field of vision at times, whereas on mushrooms objects look distorted and the proportions seem to change all the time. I'd say that CEVs on mushrooms are often simpler but more meaningful. Of course, this is extremely subjective and individual.

On mushrooms it's not usually the visual side I notice that much, I mean I get things breathing, wiggling, more vibrant colours etc. It's the sillyness and profundity of mushrooms that I love; the fact that you can have an epiphany which changes your life and yet at the same time revel in the complete absurdity of it all.
As I scribbled on my wall when I was tripping: 'it's not the drugs themselves which are absurd, but the opening of your eyes to the absurdity that is life.'

Ive tripped on a 8th of shrooms for the first time in March of 2010 and for me it really wasn't about the visuals at all. I had some more vibrant colors in my vision aswell as walls and the ground breathing(Which was awesome btw). Its all about how it makes you feel/think and what you get out of those feelings/thoughts that makes shrooms so worth while! IMHO 8o

ive had mushrooms that were so visual i couldn't believe my eyes, fractals patterns, complete color shifts, the image of a tree turning into a giant ball and rolling towards me. However, these are atypical for me.

Id say as much as dosage, individual chemistry, and mindset play a part, the shrooms themselves do as well, ie what species, how they were grown, and how big they are, since the amount of active chems in mushrooms does not increase at the same rate as growth (meaning larger shrooms will have less chems per gram than smaller ones)

i think shroom visuals are about the same intensity as LSD - but, it is much easier to take a bigger dose of acid.. i have only eaten 3.5g once so i am not sure where higher doses of shrooms end up.. here is one thing - i recall having dream visions in my head on mushrooms - my imagination would become very tangible.. whole scenes and faces and places.. LSD does this too, but i think my mind is usually too busy and cloudy on LSD to have more than complex patterns, tracers, distortions and colors..

I am more sensitive to mushrooms than to LSD and that includes visuals.

well ive only tripped once. it was in public and i had 10 decent sized P. subs (nz) (recommended dose for starters is 5).

I remember wanting to trip, trying to see colours, trying to make objects warp but i ended up just freaking out because there were so many people and it was so noisey. that was 2 years ago

Mushrooms are generally the most visual psychedelic for me besides DMT (the other ones I've tried being LSD, mescaline, 2c-i, 2c-t-2, 2c-e and 4-aco-dmt).

Of course it depends on dosage, and it can vary a lot. I've had trips on an eighth with very mild visuals and insanely visual trips on 2 grams

It depends on the strain of the shrooms and the dose. Most dried shrooms in the states varying somewhat generally eat 1/8 and trip tits but not always as visual as most lsd trips. But then again, the Hawaiian fresh mushrooms in smart shops in Amsterdam last time I was there, I guess they aren't even legal anymore. Anyway the Hawaiians were ranked as the most potent of all four strains most specifically in a visual way. The shopkeeper recommended we only eat them if we had gotten spun on L before and to eat half of one of the containers they sold them in. My buddy and I had both tripped L before and were piss drunk so we downed a whole box each. And I tripped harder visually than any acid I've ever taken - in terms of open eye distortions or changes completely to reality. After walking around the same block in Amsterdam for about an hour flipping top, we noticed a mass of people dressed in white and going to the train station. We went back to the hostel - ran into more white dressed Canadians who told us about the sensation white party that night and we went with them, somehow getting tickets for face value when it was sold out and tickets were way more than the 50 euro we paid - we ran into the right people at the hostel who had extras. It was insane

I've had a portal open up from the floor boards, with swirling Aztec like paterns forming it's base whilst everything else around me is throbbing and breathing, twisting and contorting, just complete disintegration of anything physical around me. Sounds became part of my body, there were more colours than I ever knew existed. I then entered the portal and was over come with light, everything got intense then there was an explosion and I was sent to the begining of man and stayed there for 10,000 years. Was definetly a real reality on some sort of level. I still dream about it.

To me, mushrooms have always been intensly visual to the point that I just can not under any circumstances, eat them anymore.

Shrooms aren't usually very visual for me unless I go batshit with the dose. Nothing like I get from LSD, mescaline, 2c-e or of course DMT. But mushrooms aren't about the visuals as much the mushroom mind melt.

Not visual at all for me. I get emotional and have auditory hallucinations. I usually cry at least once every time I take them, I don't like them.
