hi, so this is my first time using this site, not sure if this is in the rite area, but...

I wants to use lsd for therapeutic reasons. I am usually really shy, and get nervous around people, and am really antisocial. how can I use lsd to change myselff? and btw I has never used any drugs b4, and am 17, male, and 90 pounds, will this make any difference? thanks

Don't use the word swim unless it's in the context of maneuvering over a body of water.

Lsd probably isn't going to make you more social unless it's a low dose.

Try MDMA, it sounds like that's exactly what you need/are looking for.

don't take a pill that is fake though.

pillreports.com

happy hunting.

I'm 17 too and LSD has helped me be more open socially, although I've never tried MDMA. Be careful tho, maybe LSD will make you less social.

first of all, how tall are you? 90 pounds sounds like a dangerously low weight. Eat some damn food you skeleton!

LSD or another psychedelic can help you analyze yourself and WHY you do the things that you do. but be aware that you might not LIKE what you discover about yourself. Psychedelic self-discovery is often a very difficult road to travel, and YOU must be willing to PUT FORTH EFFORT in order to catalyze a change in yourself. the drug will not do ANYTHING for you.

do you have friends? siblings? therapist? remember that you're ultimately looking for a social change, so you need to have people around you that you can test your new self against. build up a solid trusting relationship with someone you know, and then tell them that you would like their help to improve yourself. if i was ever approached by a friend who wanted my assistance in psychotherapy, i would be happy to be of assistance. sometimes all you really need is somebody who is a good listener, so you can find your own voice inside yourself.

thanks everyone, btw im 5'2. and i dont want to use mdma b/c i want to take a trip and get self realization of everything and learn why im antisocial and what i need to do it. can anyone tell me how i can use setting, music, and people around me during the trip to achieve this? thanks

i've tried doing this for years, and honestly - for me - i haven't found any guaranteed protocol that will do this. initially, i had amazing trips that had such an effect. however, later i had some bad trips which had a stronger and opposite effect i still feel years later. so be careful. also, you may want to look into other substances. from my experience, going the therapeutic psychedelic route, you may mescaline, ayahuasca, and ibogaine to be especially of interest.

well if i just take it once and have a good trip with a good experience and never take acid again, will that work? and btw im in high school and the only psychedelic i have access to is lsd, so i cant to any of those

how can anyone honestly answer that question?

Psychadelics can be a good guide, but that's all it is, just a guide. It's not gonna magically solve your problems, you gotta do that yourself.

I am a bit antisocial myself, and get nervous around people like you do. I took lsd last night. I had a fantastic time. However, nothing much has changed.

I think you're going about this the wrong way, just my 2 cents though.

well, first of all you're 17 so i should assume you live with your parents who are not exactly hippies?

so you need one or more of the following:
a) a trusted friend whom you trust to keep you out of physical harm, and also handle personal issues for you (getting a glass of water, answering the door, or other worldly tasks)
b) a location that you can spend 6-10 hours at without feeling trapped. preferably you have a chair, bed, beanbag, or soft rug on which to test new positions for your body. the bathroom facility should also be clean and well-stocked for showering or bathing.
c) a wide variety of music, photos from your past, trinkets of your affection, and also comfort food.
d) daytime tripping in a park is not bad. you should still have a location that you can retire to if you get cold or tired.

this pretty much hits the nail on the head as far as i'm concerned

OP I think you should try lifting weights instead of drugs.

I get the feeling that you aren't that confident and want to use drugs to help fix that.

i tried to do something similar to this with marijuana and meditation and while it helped for a while it ended quite badly. i now think that trying to do this at a young age without some kind of guide or therapist working with you has the potential to be quite dangerous and could easily have the opposite effect. i'm not saying don't do it though, just be very careful and remember many things which seem permanent are often temporary.

Um. OP could consider mescaline as well; it seems to be particularly efficient at provoking the sort of plus-four level experience he's after.

Just, incidentally, cannabis is not psychedelic or even remotely comparable with acid and there's no reason to expect this to work with cannabis at all.

how to use lsd to CHANGE your personality?
throw as much acid as you can find at your brain for as long a solid period as you can afford to.

saturate your mind in lsd for a good few weeks and you'll come out different at the end i assure you.

sources: done it to myself a fair amount. noticed a fair change you could say eh.

well im pretty sure i'm not gonna have a bad trip because im tripping outdoors mostly on a good day, and a friend will be tripping with me, and we'll have a babysitter who has babysat someone b4. so while i'm tripping should i think of why people make me nervous and all that?

It sounds like you've never tripped before, yet you are attempting to go into the trip with a specific, rather serious, goal in mind.

How can you possibly hope to accomplish the goal when you have no experience with the tool you are attempting to use? Would you use a wood saw for the first time to cut expensive hardwood with the intention of building a cabinet? I hope not. You would muck about with waste wood and not be concerned with the final result.

Your first few times using a tool are for learning - how the tool feels in your hands, how powerful it is, what its quirks are, what problems you might have with it.

You should aim, in your first few psychedelic experiences, to have fun and explore, be playful!

Don't be so fucking serious, otherwise I think you'll end up confused and disappointed.

yeah it's my first time, in fact my first time doing any drug, maybe i'll just try tripping for fun, but if i have a good trip will this make a calmer and more positive person?

IME, it's really hard to actualize permanent change with psychedelics.

Sometimes I'll get really sick of myself, and drop a bunch of acid with intentions of change, and I'll feel like I've totally reprogrammed my personality, and that I'm a new person, but once I come down I'm the same old jerkoff that I used to be. :D :|

That's why I don't get people that think tripping is about "learning" the "psychedelic teachings", or becoming "enlightened", and to "hang up the phone once you get the message". To me, it's primarily about experiencing something new and interesting.
