Benzos How to tell if alprazolam (xanax) is XR or IR????

I got a perscription for alprazolam (generic) 0.5 mgs

My question is I notice people call them IR and XR's, like addall, but It says nowhere on the scrip, where as adderall always done.

Anyway help would be helpful

If it doesn't say XR, its not XR. If your really that unsure, why wouldnt' you just look up the pill ID numbers online? Or ask your pharmacist?

I didnt ask the pharmacist because I was in a big hurry today to get my meds, and ive tried online, I cant find any answers.....

Not really allowed to do pill ids here, but normally with alprazolam, it just isn't listed unless it's XR. Best bet is just to call the pharmacy you got the scrip filled at though.

Unless they came out with a 0.5mg XR alprazolam pill sometime very recently, they don't exist. Only 1, 2, and 3mg were created at the time of release.

^yep, that summed it up. otherwise ring your doc or pharmacy to double check or use a pill ID site.
